Is the Pakistan team management going overboard with their aggressive approach and overthinking matchups?

Shoaib Malik is very critical and he is indirectly having a real go at Mike Hesson. Actually all of the participants i.e. Shoaib, Misbah and Bazid are making the same points i.e. Pakistan's go aggressive approach will not work and is not working in tough conditions i.e. Bangladesh, UAE and against top quality teams like India. This is international cricket and you have to assess the conditions properly and play accordingly.

They are also critical of the match up's mindset where the captain deliberately avoids bringing in Mohd Nawaz into the bowling attack because a left handed batsman is batting. Do leg spinners and left arm spinners not bowl to left handed batsmen at all? Your first priority as a management is to assess and respect the conditions and make decisions accordingly and not based on your preconceived theoretical ideas.

Pakistan reached the finals and gave a good final. Since 2017 ct, no pakistani team has played a good final. And almost every team of pakistan has lost to india.

Misbah, Bazid and Malik are talking nonsense. Hesson is a world renowned coach. If these guys think they are better. Coach a domestic team and prove it

Malik made an argument that i cannot disagree with. Pakistan beat teams ranked lower than them i.e. Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE, Oman and that also by scrapping by them. They lost pretty convincingly 3 times in a row vs India i.e. the side ranked number 1. We cannot be in denial.

If Nawaz had travelled, they would have said,"Why did they give a left-arm spinner against Dube?". In IPL, forget about left-arm spin; most teams won't even use spinners when Dube is in. They exclusively use the seamer against him. So his decision had some merit.
