The Sialkot Stallions was a National T20 Cup team, based in Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan. The team was established in 2004 and its home ground was Jinnah Stadium in Sialkot.

The Stallions were the most successful team in Pakistani Twenty20 history, having won five consecutive National T20 Cups between 2005/2006 and 2009/10 under coach Azmat Rana. This period of success included a winning streak of 25 consecutive games, a world record for a top-level Twenty20 competition. And now they have another feather in their cap 👇

Gun T20 team.

Stallions and Hampshire, two iconic T20 sides when the format emerged!
They have played each other once in a qualifier for champions league.

Sialkot came out on top.

Mohammad Haris shared following thoughts after Stallions tournament triumph today:

"Nothing new to tell to the world. Everybody knows now that Stallions are the winners. Head coach Mansoor bhai and Shoaib bhai had asked us to carry forward the Stallions winning legacy and we have done that."

"We kept faith in Yasir Khan although he didn't score much runs early on in the tournament. But he played an outstanding innings in the final match today and delivered."

In t20 maybe, but SNGPL and Faisalabad Wolves were also great teams.

SNGPL has won alot of tournaments aswell.

They were gun because of Imran Nazir although there were other good players in their side too.
naaa, Malik..

The one good thing about Malik at domestic level was, he promoted youngsters alot to his side. Guys like Mansoor Amjad, Asif and many others only got to play cause of Malik.

Compare that to the Rawalpindi region where Sohail Tanvir promoted himself as a batter to no.4

Imran Nazir and Shoaib malik gave the real boost to the sialkot stallions now its the number 1 domestic side in the country

I’m sorry

SNG who?

No one knows anything about Sui Gas being a T20 team in the circles of T20 discussions around the world. Even Faisalabad wolves is a stretch

Only Sialkot Stallions have a Juventus like Aura from Pakistan.

Stallions have been a domestic beast and way way way ahead than any other side in the domestic circuit of Pakistan.

Imran nazir, Haris Sohail came from this franchise and now another title for Stallions. Brilliant

Can you please explain what’s great about SNGPL? What’s their T20 legacy? Why mention them in a thread where we are paying homage to Stallions (in memory of the legendary Sialkot Stallions T20 side)

Can you please also explain the thought process of opening the innings with Rizwan and Taufiq Umar whilst claiming this is a great side???!

So they were always a trash T20 side lead by a pathetic white ball mindset? And that pathetic mindset took over in Pakistan with Misbah as captain and later coach?

Can you agree to this?

Pakistan had only 1 department t20 cup with domestic status, and SNGPL were the runner ups of that. I think it was the same final where Usman Shinwari was getting Banana Swing.

The Wolves have won the tournament and even beat a Sri Lankan side that had international players in the champions League.

funny how you ignored the rest of hte dominance by SNGPL in other formats, because than you know Misbah would have to be given credit for it. Its ok, ignorance is a bliss

This whole sentence is problematic.

So Stallions ‘maybe’ are a great T20 side…

And SNGPL have been mentioned (for God knows what)

And Faisalabad Wolves were a great team too… great in what??

Wolves won the first international T20 champions league

He does this all the time.

For example his favourite player is rizwan hence he tried to sneak in rizzu along with babar as Pakistan's best odi players.

Babar can be argued. It's a poor argument since it completly ignores the differences between the one ball and 2 new ball era and it would ential that the likes of shai hope are >>>> Viv richards.

Rizwan has zero arguments. Hes a barely avg 40-41 batter in odi with only 3 odi centuries despite playing the game for 10 years and given his age, he'll probs retire with a below 40 avg in odi as is and he's definitely not reaching inzi or yousaf's 10 to 15 century tally count in odi.

Avg below 40 in this era for any batter batting from 1 to 4 is an embrassment

yup they have won 3 T20 Tournaments

and have also beaten a Sri Lankan domestic side that had alot of international players in the champions league. I dont know if other sides of Pakistan won a match in the champions league but the Wolves did under Misbah.

Those were the times....

you are just being ignorant on purpose.

Stallions is a domestic side. Thus, in this thread i mentioned another domestic sides that were great. SNGPL dominated the domestic cricket set up for years.

But you have been all worked up by this. Calm down and just accept it.

Look at the thread title. Whether the Stallions are the most succesful domestic side. In argument i mentioned SNGPL as they have won more tournaments and major ones like One day and First Class.

I actually don’t mind him blundering with his uninformed comments, where he thinks he will casually fool people. It provides me with an opportunity revisit and check where his thinking and ideology is born from. So this 1 tournament in which SNGPL participated (a department T20 tournament), and they were casually decked by a team with Imran Nazir and Sharjeel opening….so I checked the batting stats for that tournament and it has some very interesting patterns that are currently the reason why Pakistan is the worst T20 side out of full Test member playing nations.

Check our Kaptaana’s stats: an average of 35 and a sr of 112, for a side that made it all the way to the final. It’s clear he was probably opening for them as well.

This garbage mentality in T20s had been festering throughout, and it was allowed to manifest openly and run freely in the Pakistan side as soon as Sarfaraz was unjustly removed from T20 captaincy.

These are the crimes that have been committed towards Pakistan cricket. It has been stabbed and made to bleed by these pathetic mindsets.
