We are into the second week of this world cup and the following controversies have already happened:

1- Smith and Warner's comeback and they are at the receiving end of crowd chants.

4- AB's comeback story and its possible effects on SA team performance.

3- Dhoni's gloves.

4- Shehzad's (Afghanistan) episode.

5- Poor umpiring.

6- Washed out games.

7- Ultra heavy bails.

And counting...

Only no. 5 is controversy.

Rest are not worthy enough to take into count as "controversy"

I guess it has been pretty controversial but one thing for sure is if one more of Pakistan's games are washed out I'm definitely losing interest in the entire tournament unless we luckily somehow make it to the semis.

I'd want to see us play every team no matter how good they are even if we get hammered rather than wait for field inspection updates all day.

I think it probably got something to do with Social media where every little issue is magnified. In the larger scheme of things, booing, omitting players, bad umpiring, rained out games are trivial. From Pakistan perspective 2007 ought to be the most controversial. For India also it was one of the controversial where Chappell and team didn't get along.

Scheduling this tournament in rain prone season in England is the most annoying decision

Washing out will also hurt us. We don't want to share points. But we Indians aren't complaining day and night about rains. Are we?

You wouldnt have been in this mess had you not screwed up so badly against WI.

We are in no mess! 3 points from our first 3 games(against 2 of the favourites to qualify for the semis) is on track.
On wed we probably be on 4 points from 4 games(having played 3 of the favourites to qualify for the semis).
SA, beng and afghans we should win(if we dont, then we dont deserve to qualify) giving us 10 points
Only need to beat india or NZ , to qualify.
Of course all this is weather dependent.

You guys haven't been affected by the weather. But if you qualify for the semis and get knocked out because the game is rain affected, you guys wont stop crying!

If your team had lost one of the two games you've played and your next game was a washout, your board would have boycotted the WC by now and you the fans would have cheered them on...

I don’t find much controversy except that bails aren’t dropping when the ball hits the stumps at 80 mph.

It’s unfortunate that we are having so much unseasonal rain. Feels more like April than June.

Excuse is for weaklings. In 2007 we got kicked out and then 2011 we won the WC. We don't make excuses for our performance. We accept them and make our weakness our strength.

Its you guys who's crying for matches which doesn't even feature you.

India vs Aus. No issue between Indian and aus fans. Its Pakistani fans crying calling it fishy.

Coz one was at home and the other away.
