Minimally as captain. Possibly as player.
1. Out of form as well as even when in form plays with very low strike rate
2. The longer he stays at crease and gets 50s at low strike rate the less chance of putting up or chasing 180 plus totals
3. As captain really not doing well. Nothing innovative or strategic done by him. Not able to stand up to seniors. Comes across as very weak leader
4. We have better alternatives now who can take us further in putting or chasing bigger totals that you need to get to finals.
5. He has time on his hands and he can work on power hitting and come back stronger in t20 snd also ODI for future world cups. Look how Hafeez improved in latter part or recently Shan Massod has improved.
6. Promotes high performance cultures where you are not satisfied about status quo and just semi final or just comfortably chasing 140 to 150 type of totals
Below is what I would rather go with based on current form:
1. Rizwan (has to play as keeper and doing better at opening and more proactive and innovative than Babar and one right handed opener)
2. Shan Masood ( in top form. Opener by background and great understanding between two. Among our batters one of the best in SENA as he is good with hook and pull shots)
3. Fakhar. Doing fine at number 3. Can consider opener and Shan at 3 also perhaps.
4. Ifti chacha. Best alternative to Malik and hafeez. Can chip in with an over if needed. Solid performer did well I'm Aus last time.
5. Shadab. Batting has improved a lot.
6. Khushdil. Top hitter has improved and in good form. Plus can chip in with overs if needed.
7. Nawaz. Really improved on batting and good finisher.
8. Faheem. Again top class hitting recently and could chip in with couple overs too.
With above batting you can go hard from ball one and aim for 200 each time. Look at how Islamabad united got to 190 plus even with 109 for 6 qhen faheem came in.
9 10 11 3 bowlers Shaheen, Haris, and one other depending on conditions and form, etc. Maybe Dahani maybe Naseem. Maybe Imad.
