T20s turned Gul in to a spearhead..before that he was just a support bowler. I think it was Shoaib Malik who came up with the idea of using him the 13th over onward, that was a brilliant move.

If he wasn't injured for the 2010 WC, then I highly doubt we would have seen those Hussey heroics.

javiersuka still remember mcgrath was slaughtered by Razzaq in an ODI, does this one beating makes him inferior bowler, salute to your logic, but in addition to that Mcgrath will not even dream of doing the stuff Gul did in T20s, brings fire in 2009 Wc that we won, very good 2012 Wc, almost won us 2007 Wc

Yes, those inswinging yorkers were unplayable. He had some crazy match stats on occasion. Would be hard pressed to think of a better T20 bowler when he was in his prime. Unfortunately he didn't have the longevity but for a few years, he was easily the best T20 bowler in the world.

It tough but I would say so 2007-2010 he was such a great T20 bowler for Pakistan but from 2009 to 2014 you could say was Saeed Ajmal, yes I know some people will disagree with me for 2014 with Ajmal due to his action being remodeled but for me yes. Back to Gul yeah sure he is a ATG in T20I

Just checked....yeah you are right.

Gul was gun. Just that you need a bit of years to be ATG.

One of my favorite T20I bowlers, and the greatest T20 bowler imo!

What a bowler he was, if only his injury was managed properly he could've gone on to play like that for much longer!

ATG in format started a decade back? After 25-30 years, it may look fine to call anyone an ATG in T-20. ATG doesn't mean much if we are talking about 10 years of cricket. Gayle, Gul etc have done very well so credit is due, but ATG doesn't sound right for T-20 format due to very little history and low sample size.

Probably the best bowler to play international t20...Malinga is overall better t20 bowler but he hasn't done anything special in int.t20...
Gul's terrific yorker to M.S.Dhoni that destroyed Dhoni's stumps was awesome to watch (2007 WC)..
