Lol. I've been to Pro-Indian sites where if chance be gotten, they insult defame and make a joke of other cricketing nations, our included. So as this is a forum, a forum to speak your mind but within the rules then so be it.
 
Because, other than Pakistan and India fans, no one really cares about the classifications.
 
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned here before on this forums or even in this topic, forgive me if it has been, but even CricInfo rates him as Right Arm 'FAST' bowler. He's no where near to be considered as 'medium' pace bowler :P
 
ishant has jus bowled at 133 ...is tthat fast.???if im facing his bowling will i be able to see the ball?? :)) :))
 
Why India keep selecting ishu and Mithun ? what happened to Munaf,Nehra,RP singh, P Kumar and VR Singh? with such a batting lineup, Dhoni should have gone in match with 5 batters and atleast one more pacer in the lineup with 5 regular bowlers.
 
VRV is injured, Nehra has not played FC cricket in ages, RP Singh had a poor domestic season (played the whole season and averaged over 30) and Munaf Patel in the reserve bowler in the squad who will come into the team for the third Test, imo.

Don't know if he cares or not but logically speaking, he shouldn't care about it. He should probably be more concerned about the fact that he's been going for 6 an over in his last 6 tests.

man comparing Akthar with ishant. OMG.. india's best bowler fast bowler today is zaheer, and even in this depleted pak side he will be waiting in the wings to get a chance.

Akthar is someone who has won matches single handedly.

This is a very bad habit of ours. One good performance and then he will be the next superstar. he bowled one testing spell to ponting who is on the wane, and he became the next big super star earning more than top class players in IPL. Kanitkar player 30 odd matches, because of that one boundary.

For heaven's sake don't post like this. just for the sake of defending indian players.
 
I actually feel bad for Ishant, he is a talent but something has gone wrong in his mind more than anything else.

I hope not, he should care about playing for India rather than being payed to be slogged about for KKR. His international average is only going one way.
 
he's overhyped much like M Irfan.

bowling in the low to mid 80s? common. Thats what Razzaq bowls at and he's an not even considered our ace bowler...

He is not over hyped.. he knows his place... and the indians too know that he is useless.. no one in india will ever claim Ishant to be a prodigy now.. after being paid 1 million dollars, he was not even in the starting XI of KKR.. but he features in the playing XI of Indian test XI. This shows the depth of Indian bowling resources..

i've liked ur posts so far...why do you think india hasn't been able to produce high quality fast bowlers like it has produced batsman?

well.. please don't get me wrong here..

I feel it has to do with the basic attitude of people.. Pakistanis in general are aggressive, instinctive and spontaneous.. and indians in general are patient, methodical and calculative...

it refelects in their game as well. A fast bowler should have all the traits, all the fast bowling greats of Pak had those attributes (there might be a couple of exception).

Whereas to be successful in batting one need to be methodical and calculative, even sehwag has a method to his approach, he is very calculative and methodical. Pak batsman lacked this ability (there are exceptions like hanif mohammad, miandad, yusuf and abbas, but in general pak batsman lack these attributes)

Even the good bowlers that india produced like srinath and kapil, and spinners like dedi, prasanna, kumble and venkat are all methodical, they work slowly, set a batsman up and earn their wicket.

They waited for the pitches to wear out, and use the pitch to aid them.. where as even spinners in pak are not methodical, despite being highly talented they have the attitude of a fast bowler..

It is just my opinion, please don't take any offence.. some might say it has to do with gene and stuff.. I don't buy that argument..
 
What a pity. Has regressed after a good start to his career.

That 1 million IPL contract destroyed him as a bowler. Hopefully the upcoming IPL auction where his prices will hit rock bottom will be the perfect kick up the backside to get his focus back.

Have to blame the BCCI as well. The jokers did not allow him to go and play county cricket just because the thugs at BCCI are at loggerheads with ECB!!

No.. he is a very sincere and hard working guy. No one trains so hard as he does.. venkatesh prasad vouches for that.. while prasad points out laziness in the approach of RP Singh and other pacers... he is all praise for ishant's work ethics. May be he is trying too hard to become a great bowler.. which he is not. He is getting too much confused on listen to so many people.

Like you said BCCI too should be blamed.. zaheer after his county stint is a different bowler altogether. it might have worked for ishant. However we tend to go over board. Agreed he troubled ponting, but what are his bowling figures in those conducive tracks at th end of the series?

That one session against Ponting made him.. The world assumed that ishant troubled one of the best batsman in the world, while the real fact is in bouncy tracks, he troubled an already struggling batsman.

I agree, one cannot generalise every player, but most of the time, most of this is true.

Same for most aussie quick bowlers and even spinners like warne and mcgill- you know what you will get- an aggressive player to comes at you for your wicket, maybe some verbal and will keep at it all day.
 
Hilfenhaus is going after ishant like it' s Brian Lara going after a part time spinner...
I am sure Ishant Sharma is going to be given a break in the next match. But he actually should be given a 6 months- 1year break. Go back to domestic cricket and proove himself again.
 
How bad does Ishant have to bowl to get dropped?
 
If I was an Indian - I would stick with Ishant in the squad.... he has some talent....

India doesnt have much talent when it comes to bowling.
 
I can't wait till Ishant bowls to our Pak batsmen. Ishant will be played by our batsmen like he is the reincarnation of Dennis Lille.

Comon how can world no.1 team keep persisting with this kind of crap bowler?

Instead Sharma should b taking notes from Moh. Asif (on line, length and outfoxing the batsman, not doping and controversies)

Its not all about pace man! Hes a fool if he thinks he will be a good bowler if he hits that pace, stick to low - mid 80's and seam and swing.. if you got the talent.
 
There is optimism- which I respect in a man. Then there is just plain stupidity- which deserves a massive :facepalm: and a bit of a :))
