Islamabad United [157/4] defeat Quetta Gladiators [156/7] by 6 wickets in PSL6

Is dale styen on drugs. Why is he pitching every single delivery. Where is the bouncer man come on steyn. Sarfraz Captaincy has been a joke, typical nawaz and mediocre stuff. Why not open with Steyn and have 2 slips.

Mohammad Talha II and Mohammad Sami II getting rinsed by an associate batsman :)))

Top stuff from Striling today. A great induction indeed.

Sami II is bowling at 150 but his deliveries are leaving the bat at 250.

I would take 145kph from Shaheen anyday over 150s from them. Pace is nothing without some intellect and reasoning behind it.

Naseem has zero talent and no intelligence. Hasnain has some talent but no intelligence.

Both will be history in a few years.

Whats the situation on sarfaraz today? How is he coping with this carnage.

Which is why Amir will always be in with a sniff.. at least he gets tonked at the end of the innings when everyone does, these 2 getting taken to the cleaners at the start!!

Gladiators were UAE bullies. Sarfraz’s captaincy and their bowling combinations have been exposed in Pakistan.

Nawaz himself is far less effective on Pakistani pitches compared to UAE. His new ball bowling was very effective in UAE.

They need wholesale changes others Gladiators will regularly find themselves at the bottom of the table moving forward.

Washed up Amir bowling cutters at 130 kph will still outperform these two “young stars” 9/10 times.

They are also missing firepower at the top of the order in ahmed shezad and shane watson. Poor captaincy dosent help either.

Husnain is always unlucky bowls well often, beats the bat has catches either dropped or falling in no mans land.Husnain should have be a permanent fixture atleast in Pak T20 team.

Hasnain breaching 150 Kph twice in this over.

Excellent come back from Husnain after being tonked by Stirling in the earlier over...got pace, line and length right

I believe Gladiators and Qalandars are two pretty rigid franchises. LQ struggled in the initial first 4 editions due to that and now since PSL in Pakistan they are doing better but, still rigid enough to keep Sohail Akhtar as player and captain in the team. I also believe they overdo selection of their emerging prospects from their own programs when their most valuable player in Shaheen came through junior cricket and wasnt part of any of their program.

QG have been struggling since the PSL in Pakistan and prefer players who have played club cricket for Omar associates. They obviously need to be more open in their draft and select best available local players in Pakistan rather than restricting themselves.

Sterling is a good batsman, been playing in English County for a long time if being the best Irish batsman isn't a good enough accolade. Certainly more than just an 'associate batsman'.

Steyn at 39 still getting at 140kph

37 unless we are also giving him a margin of couple of years. Though when one looks at Weise at 35, I think some other countries can also do with a margin of some years. :smith

Perfect delivery. Slow it up and don’t bowl too full. That’s why Nabi has been the most successful spinner in the tournament

Don’t do this to me Zahid...

Don’t do this to me to only break my heart...

Indian batsmen and many international batsmen in IPL get bamboozled by Associate bowler Rashid Khan.

Rashid plays for an associate team but he is a world class spinner and miles better than anyone in Pakistan excluding Yasir, but he is also miles better than him in Limited Overs cricket.

Zahid has bowled pretty well today. As said before, a spinner who can deceive guys like Hafeez and Malik who are beasts against spin definitely has some good traits about him.

That is the point if you good you are good.Stirling is a very fine hitter and has done it against many international teams, as well as in county cricket.

Better stuff from Steyn must get all the overs tonight under his belt. He is a better bowler when he pitches short and on good lengths.

Quetta are opening with a left-arm spinner, Nawaz, to target the RH pair of Hales & Stirling. However, both batsmen are stronger v SLA spin than most RHs - Stirling averages 30 & strikes at 138 while Hales, since 2019, averages 30 & strikes at 150.

-CricViz before Stirling’s assault today

This is why Quetta, all the other T20 franchises, and the Pakistan international team need competent data analysts.

Interesting. Where does Cricviz share this data for general public? On social media?

No, that is not the point. Stirling is not a world class batsman by any measure but Rashid is a world class spinner by most, if not all measures.

You made a poor analogy.

There is a reason why Stirling has never featured in IPL while Rashid is a key player.

Naseem consistently bowling around 90 mph now. That is extremely encouraging even if the results aren't quite there yet. Much better over this though.

Of course naseem comes and releases any pressure with 2 garbage deliveries. One down the leg side and one short and wide

Well if we have to get rid of Rizwan the opener and he can’t bat anywhere else, I guess this kid slots in at 7
