Its good to see cricket back in pakistan but they should have kept the game serious by keeping a decent size boundaries.

The "quality of bowling in PSL is the best" drama will blow up into a million pieces when PSL returns to Pakistan on a full-scale. The UAE pitches are simply not suitable for Limited Overs cricket.
The margin of error for the bowlers is huge. It is really hard to time the ball, and the boundaries are pretty big as well. The UAE leg of PSL is godsend for bowler.
Oh right... I need to get over the regionalism?????? Go read the first posts on this thread, people hating on Karachi for no reason.

Karachi's party scene during the matches is awesome.
Crowd also very good, fun.
Stadium needs major improvements.
May be they have high expectations and really wanted the stands to be full? Its shocking that a city of millions of people can not fill a 35000 capacity ground.

But, didn't you say UAE and Pakistan are identical.
No that is constructive criticism, what is happening is straight up hate coming from certain posters.
Goto Karachi and try to get inside the stadium with in 2hrs. It is the Karachites who have the courage to go thru this hassle and still create buzz no stadium can match in Pakistan
It's empty at the moment![]()

8 matches in Pakistan's premier city... must hurt Karachi haters like you. Keep crying, don't wet your nappy.
No I didn't. What I said was that Pakistan enjoy considerable home advantage in Test matches compared to non-Asian teams. The ball doesn't swing or seam, and the wickets helps the spinners. In fact, we would have lost more Test matches in Pakistan in the Misbah era than we did in the UAE.
Really want international cricket back in Pak now, outfield and pitches are just so much better. Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Multan, Faisalabad, Hyderabad etc all offer some really good pitches and atmosphere.
So it helps us in tests not in one day games ok. Thanks for the bright insight. Our batsmen will be miles better here then UAE. We would have won a lot more odi's here too and tests too. These are our home grounds not UAE.
No it's the Karachi Street mafia, cricketers and media I hate actually which you endorse on this forum every week.
Realistically speaking, we can forget matches in Peshawar for at least another 10-15 years. Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad are the five venues that the PCB need to maintain/upgrade for international cricket.
Thanks for clearing it. So if you hate Karachi cricketers, you do not hate Karachites? Whatttt?
However, considering the lack of power hitters in the team and current Pak batsmen prefering bowl coming on the bat, UAE doesnt exactly provide that.
Our ODI team will definitely improve when international cricket comes back to Pak.

What is the difference between a Karachi city slicker vs any. Ignorance has no boundaries. You have to choose words wisely. No it's the Karachi Street cricketers I despise such as Sarfraz. I'm a big fan of Saeed Anwar and Javed.
That much is true, but our bowling will also struggle a lot on these wickets. The likes of England etc. will put on massive totals on these pitches.
Pakistan has not been a strong home team since the 90's. It is delusional to think that we would have won all the ODI series that we lost in the UAE. Our batting is simply not good enough and our bowling is heavily overrated. On flat pitches, most teams will outscore us over a series.

I reckon if test cricket comes back to Pakistan, keep it away from big cities, people don't turn up. Give tests to places like Hyderabad, Abbottabad, etc.

Shaheen 31 off 2 overs. His figures in PSL have taken a big dent.
May be Sialkot as well. My faded memory tells that last major cricket game played in Sialkot was 1989 IND Tour (4th Test).
But, what PCB needs to do as TOP Priority is to build a large Stadium at Islamabad, somewhere on the new Airport access road, with a 5 star hotel within walking distance and training facilities within stadium compound. It's impossible to provide full-proof security without hampering metro life in Karachi or Lahore, where the stadiums are at the middle of city with so many high rise buildings around.

He is 18, would be a good learning curve for him.
No one said we would win every series. So a home team is not good on their turf. This is the first for me. Our batting is not good, bowling is not good, but good for UAE, not Pakistan. Whatever makes you sleep at night.
I think a few ODIs in the 90's were hosted there. The stadium is reportedly in terrible shape, but yes it is also a realistic 6th venue.
You need to get off your high horse. Ignorance is found EVERYWHERE in our society which is a collective Pakistan issue, not KarachiSarfraz's lack of professionalism with how he conducts himself resembles the gulli mohalla in him.
Just tuned in
Disappointed with the crowds.
Abbottabad Stadium is not international standard, and Hyderabad Stadium has very little capacity. They are not feasible options, and will require heavy investment.
The five stadiums that I've listed are all international standard and used to host matches frequently. It will not cost the PCB much to do what they have done with NSK.
Harris Rauf should've been in the squad. He is good.
We are an average team home and away. Not sure what is difficult to understand here.
I don't need anything to make me sleep at night. I get a good 7-8 hrs of sleep every night. However, perhaps you are the one who needs a sleeping pill to cope with our Test and ODI rankings.
Still not a full house lol

Thanks for bringing up the rankings, i am sure we would have been higher if we were playing in Pakistan rather then UAE. Only haters like you or deluded people think otherwise. I am sure you was getting less sleep after the response our army gave to India so hence you need to assure yourself by talking negative about Pakistan.
Idiotic shot by Walton lol
Don't put words in my mouth, I never claimed/implied it was just a Karachi issue. I don't like the media, mafia and some of their cricketers. I have no issues with Karachi people but I will say they care more about their own as evident by a notable Karachiite on here.
He's a rubbish player. Just like salt.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but recent tensions with India could be the reason the stadium isn’t full today. During previous editions there would be non-stop chatter for days about PSL’s Pakistan leg on ALL the News channels.
Yes we would be number one in all formats today, had India not attacked Sri Lanka in 2009.
You twist more than the pretzels in my hand
