they played the first match and they are going to play the final ..

Comon Quetta chajaaaaaa

Going to root for Islamabad United solely because of Misbah-ul-Haq - he deserves it more than anyone else.

Sarfraz to drop Sharjeel on single digits, then he'll go on to make a big one.

Dumb scheduling though, tuesday, srsly? Yeah I know there is asia cup, but maybe should've started psl a little earlier then...

There were a lot of issues with scheduling and PCB wanted to start this project badly so I think they did it in a hurry

Supporting united to win .Lol this is my fourth team after lahore ,Karachi,Peshawar and united.

If I would have been Misbah. I would have dropped Smith and replace him with Azhar Mehmood. Quetta is a team with allot of depth in their batting line up. So you cant afford to have one of your bowlers to have a bad day with Azhar they have a extra bowling option and a experienced player Who knows how the handle pressure in the Finals.

1. Sharjeel Khan
2. Asif Ali
3. Brad Haddin
4. Khalid Latif
5. Misbah ul Haq
6. Azhar Mehmood
7. Andre Russel
8. Imran Khalid
9. Mohammed Sami
10. Samuel Badre
11. Mohammed Irfan

Actually, I really just want an exciting contest between both sides, no one-sided final, that'll really take the shine away from PSL.

Islamabad has done well to hide Umar Amin up till now. He's the secret weapon me thinks. t20s is more about class than power, and he has a bit of both. If Misbah is truly selfless he will sit this one out, give the reins to Amin and let the boy do his job. Will be a big big chance for Amin. If he scores a halfie and captains well then he will be in line for world t20 squad and can replace some hack and bowl useful medium pace like Steve Waugh.

Wat are you smoking???

Sharjeel should murder Quetta's pathetic trundling brigade.

1 he is inconsistent
2 we will see a right arm offie opening up against him.
I'm hoping he can overcome both challenges so that we can look forward to the international games coming up

All the best to both teams...congrats to PCB, PSL and the fans for a successful tournament. You guys did it!

lets get this done with so I can study.

Not even gonna bother with Asia cup but this final I'm very interested in.

empty stands still depressing, but yes it has exceeded expectations. Hearing girls and aunties talk of PSL teams has been brilliant - never expected households in Pak to watch PSL with such avid interest.

I should be supporting my home team, but a Quetta win would be better in the grand scheme of things. If Bismillah were to play a match-winning knock, it would be great for the game and the country.

Talking about today's match? No.

I think that has a lot to do with T20 - the same phenomenon made IPL take flight in India - it brought house wives and the casual viewer who doesnt care about international cricket into the fans category..

I have a colleague who is not interested in cricket but whenever there is a conversation going on about cricket the first question he will ask is "When is the IPL starting?"..:))

yes true but IPL is massive - I didn't feel PSL was marketed that well so was pleasantly surprised about even those people who don't know who Pakistan's ODI captain is (lol) to be following PSL's every game.

Don't forget that auntyjis love their soaps where there are twist and turns every week if not every day. May be the T20 games cater to their taste within 3 hours...lol

haha yeah, whatever it is - it's been good for IPL initially when it took off and now it's done well for PSL.

I disagree with Cricinfo's article based on emptyish stands because there's millions of people in Pakistan itself watching this. Perhaps, in the next edition some fans will take the flight to UAE to watch the games.

Hope the crowd is decent, out of all the games probably 3/4 good crowds and that is kinda appalling, it doesn't matter what you say the figures are back home

do you really expect Pakistani expats (who would probably be laid off if they took time out to watch the games) to fill the stands? Especially in the first edition?

Ridiculous.

I cannot describe the joy and feelings of euphoria I feel seeing Wasim involved with Pakistan cricket. We need to get more of our legends involved in the second edition.

Don't understand why Quetta is playing Nathan McCullum over Luke Wright. There is no logic especially considering McCullum didn't even bowl in the last match. Only explanation i can think of is that Wright is injured

Yeh bhutto family phr se lime light lene bin bulaaye mehmaan ban ker aa gae? Last i remember sethi only invited PM Nawaz and Imran Khan.

btw look at bilawal standing behind cultural minister of UAE lol FGS you are so called chairman of a party that was in Govt just 3 years ago.

Supporting PCL #PSL home team :isbunited here :misbah The_KING

Misbah shoulda batted first. His bowling can defend 150 while his batting isnt that strong
