What's new

Islamabad United vs Quetta Gladiators | PSL - 6th match | Dubai | Feb 17, 2019 | IU innings

Rizwan has been extremely underwhelming in this PSL stint. It's not that he's getting off to good starts, looking convincing and then getting out. He has just been poor overall, never looked comfortable even once in three games.

Fully expect Farhan to replace him for the next game.

he never looked convincing at all

Rizwan's batting shows why he averages 22 in List A.

Guy is just nervous, averages 36 in 4 day. Havent been impressive till now and might be replaced. Players take time to settle at a higher level.

The Talat you are seeing today is one who is close to finding his groove at this level.

Talat taking a keen liking to the emerging young bowlers of QG. He's been brilliant in these last 2 overs

I don't even support iu, but shadab plays for Pak and that is a stinking attitude to have, considering Pak have just been humiliated in SA

It's alright fam.
Go on youtube and find the video where ambrose bowls a perfect slower ball and ian healy i think it was just laughed when he got bowled.
It's just a positive attitude towards the game

If Bell is with the squad then I have no idea why Delport is playing over him.

Nah, I prefer a more professional attitude and completely disagree with shadab's reaction

He shouldn't bat at 3, if he doesn't care about getting out

This is where I'll leave it

Hussain Talat looks very confident at this level now. He is even lecturing Delport.

Just shows you no matter how talented a player is it takes time for player to develop and groom. If selectors or coach think someone is talented then they have to be patient with him.

Still a work in progress . . but I would have him in my team any day over Faheem Ashraf

Over Faheem? Talat is more of a batsman who can ball and Faheem has also been pretty impressive in PSL till now.

Talat looks more comfortable batting at no 5 than no 3 which he does for Pak

Imo it is not that the psl is not getting any fans. Look at the twitter pakistan trends psl is always no.1 when a match is being played with over 10k tweets each time. People just don't come to the matches in the uae.
Tbh i would rather watch a match at home than at the stadium. It is just better.

Yes and even fans will be in the stadium as well once its in Pakistan.

Talat needs to bat for most of the innings. I also hope Asif Ali gives himself some time. I think he could be useful in T20s.

I think the sooner we accept that Talat is not an international standard all-rounder, the better. He's just someone who can roll his arm a bit in the same way Fakhar can.

I believe the management think the same way which is why they barely give him any overs for Pakistan, and whenever they do give him the ball, he seems to get hammered. Looks way out of his depth.

Whether he has it in him to get in the team as a pure batsman, is a separate discussion.

Exactly with bowl he is at best a part timer at the moment. I think even management now realizes it.

Asif Ali can hit 6s for fun. His issues his that he doesn't know to build his innings and knowing which bowlers, balls, and areas to target. That's why I think for now he should stick to T20s.

This pitch doesnt look as difficult as the scorecard suggests

Our batsmen need to learn how to finish the innings, It was heartening to see Faheem and Asif in the first match and Umar Akmal against PZ

Faheem not reading Fawad and just saving his stumps by playing for leg spin every ball
