It’s time for civil society to step up

Since Army is the big bad and evil for all the reasons and problems they have created , i think its time for civil society to step up and replace the big bad army , and start sending their own sons and daughters into army to protect the motherland , make it constitutional and compulsory for atleast one of the family member to serve in the army. train them well, send them onto borders, LOC, and Waziristan areas.

so we will have friendship with India and all our neighbors, and also surrender the GB and Northern areas.

this is the only solution which will stop the army meddling and creating all problems.

People in Pakistan have a habit of taking things to an extreme. Either they love the Army to the extent they are boot polishers, or they hate it to the point where they blame it for every problem that exists in Pakistan for the last 70 years.

Army is a very important institution. Countries without a credible Army can end up like Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, and Yemen. Thousands of Pakistanis soldiers have died in the last 10 years. The Army as an institution deserves respect.

However we also need to keep Army generals accountable. Army comes from the same society as the rest of Pakistan. If a country has corrupt politicians, corrupt bureaucracy, corrupt judiciary, corrupt aam aadmi, it will also have a corrupt Army. Army generals will also need to respect the will of the people, and respect whoever is the Prime Minister, regardless of how they feel about him or her.

It's time for all major institutions to demonstrate discipline among their ranks and it's time for merit to get more weightage than links and influence.
