I remember how he hailed Usama Mir and then we saw only 1 specialist spinner, 3-4 all rounder spinners throughout Mickey's tenure in Yasir, Bilal Asif, Shadab, Nawaz and Imad.

All this drama to stay being the coach??? All will fade away once PSL starts and players for tests and ODIs ll be picked based on psl performances. No I am not amused by this visit its just a PR gimmick, Mickey knows how to play with pak fans and management. Similar promises and PR stunts were done by him 3 years ago.

Could this be because he is being considered an U19 coach with same salary?? As a whole I only like his fitness mantra. His knowledge on asian teams and the dislike of spinners is why we are low down in test rankings.

Wait till they hit 25+ when their metabolism starts slowing down. Then these same fitter boys will look just like their predecessors. Most of us who played sport in our teens had flat bellies and muscular outlook but once body decides to pack the pounds then its all downhill from there

Look at Imran Khan’s history with outstanding Under-19’s like Wasim Akram, Aaqib Javed, Moin Khan and Zahid Fazal.

In general when there isn’t a good enough senior player for that berth in the team, he wants a teenager to be promoted.

Which makes this camp twice as important.

I am comparing them with previous under 19 squads. Couple of fast bowlers looked strong but rest of the team including batsmen , spinners were skinnier and weaker.

Yaar I know they are uncooked for international cricket but this is Pakistan.

We have produced Wasims and Waqars by throwing them early in.
