James Faulkner quits the PSL alleging broken promises by the PCB and failure to honour contract

Don't think the PCB will go this route. They don't want to burn any bridges with the Australians given that they are touring after 24 years. Going down the legal route may deter future aussies from coming to the PSL. Also this episode has not really damaged the PCB, they handled it well

Agree. No need to burn the bridge for one stupid player.

I stated similar earlier.

In a situation where the employee/player has a lot of choice (so many T20 leagues) and some may have questions about risking travel to the work place (valid or not) then it will really have a negative effect if PCB is seen to be a vengeful or authoritarian or punitive employer.

Whether they are right or wrong, who goes to work for the company who crushes employees for infractions and pursues them to the end of the earth/destroys careers vs the employer with a reputation as supportive and magnanimous? Where if you make a mistake you get sacked sure- but it doesn't ruin your life necessarily... It's a no brainer right?

Agree.

Faulkner appears to be in the wrong here and this is clear to most people, and he has also been barred from any further PSL appearances.

This to me seems enough.

PCB did what was right and makes sense not to pursue this more. Financially too any legal action may cost more than amount in question ($50k here).

However as reported Faulkner misbehaved at airport as well like an entitled brat. I wish PCB had allowed hotel to call the Police. One-two policeman keeping him in a cabin/conference room for 2-3 hours and someone had whispered in his ear that he may go to Pakistani jail for endangering other lives and property damage. Made him sweat for an hour or two. Lol.

And then PCB comes to rescue and allow him to leave. Would've loved to see his face.
