An amazing striker of the ball!

Seeing him first time at the PSL and looks like he will outscore everyone in PSL!

He is 24 with 17 FC centuries already, so this is expected from him and not a fluke, wonderful young talent from England.

Suddenly the trade of Ingram for Hales and bringing in Clarke at #3 doesn't look too bad

Clarke falls for 46 from 23, but the damage already done

he was striking at 175 in the vitality blast - one to watch out for rated highly even tho he was involved in some sketchy business which might hold his selection back slightly

Imad and KK knew what they were doing when they let Rizwan go.

Respect.

Would have played in all formats for England by now if he hadn't been involved in a sex scandal
Remember him Smashing a peak Yasir Shah as a 19 year old

England with so many good wicket-keeper batsmen in their ranks.

This lad has been good in County too.

Looks a fine batsman.

If it weren’t for the Hepburn scandal I think he would’ve been ahead of Billings in the pecking order for England.

Supremely talented player. I’m sure that scandal has held his England chances back especially when you look at how Alex Hales has been treated. Hales was in the England set up for a while, but has yet to be given a chance to integrate back in. Clarke could have the same problem.

It’s a well known fact that scandal is why England don’t pick him. Not sure how he gets in either for a long time. Performance isn’t relevant

Not expecting him to get regular chances but even making the squad for ODIs when England have played weaker teams since the WC win is a bit of a surprise.

He has potential. I hope he sets the psl on fire and eventually makes the English team.

His innings was the only entertaining thing from yesterday´s match, which was otherwise quite a disappointing opening match. It would´ve been a better contest had Azam Khan stayed on a little, and definitely so if Gayle had stayed a little longer.

Imad saw what he was capable of at Nottinghamshire and made sure that KK picked him.

He could be a great signing for them this season.

Clarke suffered largely due to his part in the scandal at Worcestershire that saw Alex Hepburn jailed. He would have definitely been selected at test level ahead of Crawley and Lawrence if he hadn't been sidelined. Reckon a good consistent season at Notts will see him break into the England setup.

Clarke is on fire here once again. 48 from 22 balls, a destructive batsman

Finishes on 54 from 26, with the game all but won for Karachi. Fantastic player

Really impressive talent, if he is considered selectable can definitely make the Eng T20 squad even stronger.

Joe Clarke is really, really, really, really special. That front foot pull for six was stunning.

I feel he's better than Lawrence and Bairstow, a good start to the Championship season and he could be in with a chance of an England test debut.

Malan ignited his England T20 career with some good performances in the PSL. Looks like Joe Clarke will be following the same route. Terrific player.

I see a spark in him that I think I only see in Gill and Haider from young batsmen right now.

Off the mark with a boundary down the ground. He certainly looks a class above than the usual T20 specialists.

Nottinghamshire batter Joe Clarke says he feels "embarrassment and shame" over his involvement in a vulgar WhatsApp group with rapist Alex Hepburn.

Clarke was not charged but was named during the rape trial of his former Worcestershire team-mate in 2019.

The sexist messages led to Clarke, 25, being made unavailable for selection by England and charged with bringing the game into disrepute.

"It does not reflect the person I am now," Clarke told the Telegraph.

"I have done a lot of reflecting. It is embarrassment and shame that I was involved in what was a terrible thing.

"I'm happy I have the chance now and say how sorry I am for the involvement in all of it."

Clarke was speaking in his first major interview since being named during the Hepburn trial.

Last month, England's new director of men's cricket Rob Key suggested he would be open to Clarke being picked.

Hepburn was jailed for five years after being found guilty of assaulting a sleeping woman after she had consensual sex with Clarke.

Hepburn, Clarke and then Worcestershire team-mate Tom Kohler-Cadmore swapped messages on WhatsApp discussing a game of sexual conquests.

The judge said the WhatsApp messages "demeaned women" and "trivialised rape".

"It upsets me seeing it [the WhatsApp game] now so I completely understand why people get upset looking at it," Clarke said. "It is terrible to look at. It was completely wrong."

He also said he had "let down" the victim, who suffered post-traumatic stress disorder.

"She was ultimately in my company and relied on me for her safety and I did not provide that," Clarke said. "I feel like I let her down and I hope that she has found happiness that she deserves now and has managed to move on."
