Karachi Kings "Karachi Ke Shehzade" Tournament 2017

I remember Zalmi did something similar in KPK. We need the rest of the teams to also do tournaments like these to help identify and build up local talent.
 
7 days and 13 matches this is pathetic schedule

Good luck to the batsmen scoring on that particular ground of which fresh pitch is like a 5

Maybe it's there team who they support in the competition

Saud Shakeel apparently has played a good innings yesterday.

Guys,is it being broadcasted anywhere?Apart from the captains(actors/TV anchors) are all other players the professional players? What are the lineups of these teams?
 
From 75 top 15 players go uk for 3 months training. Thats awsome for their development
 
Saud Shakeel also putting in some decent all-round performances.
 
Karachi Kings' Facebook page is providing regular updates for those interested.

Also, Saif Ali Ghori (who played in the U19 WC) did well today- 4.0- 1- 9- 4
 
Ammad Alam 2 for 20 and 59 of 26. Very highly rated all rounder of karachi kings
 
You know the tournament isn't of high quality when the leading wicket taker is primarily a batsman and an average seamer like Ghori is picking up wickets for fun.

I agree it's a work in progress. If the PSL franchises continue to organise tournaments/talent hunts, over time the standard/quality of the tournaments will hopefully improve.

The good news is that the top 15 players from the tournament will train in the UK under professional supervision, which will be great for their development. This can only be good for the likes of Saud Shakeel, Hassan Mohsin, Saifullah Bangash, Ammad Alam, Ashiq Ali etc.
 
Ammad alam and fahaddis bukhari have been outstanding as allrounders and both can hit big. Hassan mohsin has been a big dissapointment. The above two have a top chance for psl 2018

The standard should improve gradually over time. But what I was suggesting is that any notable performances should be taken with a grain of salt.

From memory Alam was part of the KK squad last year but didn't play (he may have a supplementary player).

Don't know much about Bukhari, but he has performed well this tournament. Do you have any more info about him?

Yes I agree. That is why I mentioned the 15 names- I am more interested in the fact that young players, who have already been discussed on PP as having potential, will have the chance to develop under supervised coaching.
