What's new

Kashmiri Pandits hail, celebrate scrapping of Article 370

Some change is inevitable.

- It's only in the last 5-7 years that the approach has really changed.
Financial success /freedom is a blood thirsty tiger.if locals continuously watches the extravagant spending by outsider's or their kids working outside or property price rise due to the new infrastructure set up,it will give them new ideas/hope for more success . in india everyone is zealous of others success as we are highly competitive by nature.

Article 370 is done and dusted. Part of Ind now totally with no special requirements. And what self determination ? 500k Kashmiri pandits were driven out from the valley due ti Islamic extremism and now hey want Azaadi ?? Azaadi from what ?? If it was reversed - posters here would scream genocide etc etc . Once they did that - all bets are off. You cant reward violence and extremism with rewards. Kashmir had its own flag, own PM, own Constitution and unlimited funds and they turn to extremism and shelter Pak terrorists and want Azaadi ?? Kashmiris could buy land or properties anywhere in Ind but Ind citizens couldnt buy anything there. And again Azaadi ? Yeah good luck with that now. It will never become Switzerland but it will never the 1990s Kashmir as well.

Kashmir banega Pakistan - the slogan used pak establishment rulers for 70 yrs now to hoodwink pak public. What does pak gov have to show ?

I think it seems to be more of an emotional issue for Indians since you are bringing what Pakistanis think into it when it should be irrelevant.

It's not irrelevant because Pakistan is one nation bringing it up everywhere. I personally see these futile efforts carrying on for a decade or so before Pakistan itself will realise that it's not worth it. Not having Bharat as enemy actually helps Pakistan more than they would like to believe.

Yes greed is a powerful motivator. Separatist movements that linger for years are usually correlated with poverty and underdevelopment. Prosperous areas can rarely be bothered for too long.

Then just say that instead of pretending it's an emotional issue for Pakistanis and by inference not for Indians.

You are infering a little too much here Captain. My post was addressed to Pakistanis and their govt's foreign policy. If you want me to accept that it's an emotional issue for Indians too, I do accept that, have no issues with it. ✌️
