You can't judge based on one match, and I'd also say that both decisions Khurram got in this match were marginal. I hope he comes back stronger in the next game.

For that matter Taufeeq Umar's scores since 2012 are hardly impressive 58, 0*, 16, 7, 0, 6 against Eng... 9, 10, 65, 42*, 29, 4 against SL. It's understandable if Pakistan are looking for another opener.

Calling it awful technique is quite a hyperbole. Did you see him bat, or are you just jumping on the bandwagon?

He was unlucky to receive two marginal LBW decisions on his comeback. I am sure, one of these if not both would have been overturned if UDRS was there. He wasn't playing and missing. Sure he was falling over a bit at times, but I won't call it an awful technique.

He should be persevered with, for the next game and at least part of RSA series before we start looking for another opener.

SR of 40 makes sense if you usually convert your 50s into 100s but none of the batsman outside of YK does that consistently and that explains why we have a mediocre batting line up overall.

Same criteria should be for Hafeez. His avg is 9.55 this year. Pathetic!!! Next innings is make or break for Hafeez not Manzoor . I would say drop him even if he scores in the next innings. Khurram was wrongly given out in the 1st test.

looking at the scorecard most of the crash bang wallop happened against the spinners in particular yasir shah who is more suited to limited overs cricket.

i think manzoor should be tried for odis and t20's as well might be a stronger format for him , i think he will struggle with his technique at test cricket in longer run.

When I saw him against Murali in the series when the SL's bus was attacked in Lahore I knew right away he was a good player of spin. He Plays much like Amla against spinners, very late and has been successful so far.

Aray Bhai, it was based on previous knock he has been part of. It made sense what I said. He looked so awful many of the knock I have seen play at international level.
