Hi there. I am awaiting delivery of my new cricket bat. CA PLUS 15000 Limited Edition!

I am wondering if anybody knows any places specifically in Nottingham, England, that provide a knocking in service. and specifically by hand not by a machine.

I have found mapperley sports, which seem to offer this service for £25. If anybody knows anywhere else I would be grateful. This bat needs as much knocking in as it can!!!

Do it yourself

If you can't find anyone to knock your bat then I suggest you do it yourself. I have knocking in service but my company is in America.Cricket Best Buy.

Let me give you some tips on how to knock in your bat.

Step 1: Go to any Cricket Store and buy a bat Mallet. click here to see different types of bat mallets. Basically, you have wood mallet or leather ball mallet. Either one of them is fine for knocking in your bat.

Step 2: Buy Linseed Oil, Click here to see different types of linseed oil.

Step 3: Once you have these two items, you are ready to knock in your bat.

Step 4: Apply thin layer of oil on your bat. Wait for alteast 6 to 8 Hours.

Step 5: After you applied the oil and waited for 8 hours, now you are ready to knock in your bat. Take your bat mallet and start knocking in slowly slowly. Knock in for about 2 hours.

Step 6. Apply thin layer of oil again and again wait for 8 hours.

Step 7: Now you can finish knocking it in.

Thats All.
