Mian please explain that how will pti payback brt loan??

The BRT will pay for itself according to the economic feasibility analysis carried out by the Asian Development Bank who is funding the project.

It's late now in Pakistan so I have to sleep. If you can remind me in the morning by replying here or mentioning me I'll upload the relevant document and provide the links.

https://www.adb.org/sites/default/files/linked-documents/48289-002-efa.pdf

The above link is for the economic and financial analysis published by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It's an 8 page document so it doesn't make for heavy reading. Though I think reading pages 6 (from the heading "J. Results and Sensitivity"),7 and 8 should be enough to show that the project is financially viable and should eventually pay for itself.

I'll highlight some points though

Page-6
26. As shown in Table 7, the project EIRR was found to be 15.4%, well above the 9.0%
minimum economic yield required for an ADB-financed project.

This means that the project should generate more money than it costs.

The net economic benefits of the project are highlighted in table 8 on page 7. This considers all sort of factors such as the economic benefits of reduced transit time, carbon saving etc. These alone are enough to ensure that the project is worth more than it costs.

table1.jpg

Page-7
30. The BRT system generates revenue in four ways: fares, advertising, rent on concessions
and storefronts in stations and depots, and revenue from parking plazas. Fare revenue, the
largest source, was calculated using an average estimated fare of $0.23 (PRs25) per trip. Advertising revenue is estimated at 3% of fare revenue, while revenue from concessions and parking facilities are calculated based on use. Revenue from these sources is estimated to be
$40 million in 2020.

Page-8
33. Instead, an operating ratio analysis was conducted to ensure that revenues will cover
operating costs. The analysis results are in Table 9. In addition to the base case, alternative
scenarios were also considered. Scenario A assumes that operating costs are 20% higher than
estimated in the base case, while Scenario B assumes that fare revenue is 20% lower than
projected. In all cases, the ratio remains under 100%, indicating that the project is financially
sustainable.

The table

I got the economic and financial analysis report from here:

There are other relevant documents as well in this link.

Feeling embarassed for marketing for these Liars & Hypocrites.

" Unintensional Mistake "

I really thought they were last hope for a progressive, prosperous Pakistan.

Remember having long discussions with you where I tried to convince you that PTI is best performing government. Also remember once we discussed that we will visit Kpk hospitals together and would see developments with our own eyes.

You were right. All progress and development of PTI was on social media.

Furthermore PTI's Baloon was filled Up by Deep State through their Media stooges aka hawaaldaars.

Tahir Rehman who is Head of Department of Political Science at LUMS has summed up Panamagate & DawnLeaks fiasco quite well on his Youtube Channel.

I hope you are okay and haven't been affected by the strikes, thanks to the actions of our ghunda Health Minister. After 6 years of "health reforms", the end result is that the guard of our Health Minister (who has a fake BDS btw) physically assaulted a doctor.

I don't blame you for not talking about it in depth here, because perhaps like me, you have also been instructed to not discuss the matter in depth on social media. However, it is interesting to see that the likes of WebGuru and a few others have not said a word on this fiasco. I don't blame the likes of Bewal Express because he is uninformed anyway.

If this happened in Punjab, it will be all over the forum now, and the Punjab government would be bashed in multiple threads.

This is PTI's tabdeeli and these are the results of the "health reforms". It is also wonderful to see that several doctors have exposed PTI's lies and propaganda of improving the health sector, but I do fear for their safety because the ghunda minister is probably busy dishing out threats to these doctors for exposing PTI in public without anonymity.

This is our Health Minister and his guards:

He is a thug who should be disqualified not because of his actions but because he has lied about his qualification as a dentist. However, rules do not apply to Kaptaan's team. Apparently, these are the people who are going to bring tabdeeli and drive our institutions forward.

I know him. PTI is a fraud and I would advise you to not criticize them too much on social media. Plenty of doctors who have exposed PTI in the last few days are receiving threats now.

What I find beyond pathetic is the deflection of PTI supporters as well as their ignorance. Their only source of information is PTI social media propaganda, who would have you believe that angels descended from the heavens when PTI took over in KP in 2013.

Had I not provided an update here, the chances are high that you and a few others wouldn’t even have been aware of this. You should thank me for exposing their propaganda.

Yes I have deleted many posts from my FB account after smelling some danger.

Why did KPK reelect the PTI (When historically it has never reelected any party to office) if their performance was so poor?

Bilawal Bhutto uses the same excuse whenever defending PPP's performance in Sindh for the last 10 years

Incident which happened, shouldn't have happened.

But blaming one party entirely is not right. We need to see all the facts, especially who started it.

Doctor pelted Eggs on the Minister and Dr. Burki, this was his action. And in response minister guards had to intervene (Though i believe violence should have been avoided and they should be punished)

Question arises, why Doctor pelted eggs? It is due to his case of promotion, he believe he fullfills all the criteria for promotion but officials denied his case (I am yet to get full info that why his promotion is topped).

Who among you attended the meeting between Dr. Barki and Dr. Zia? Someone should have seen the behavior of Dr. Zia :)

Now another thing, why some of the doctors are actually angry? According to my knowledge, there are 2 reasons. One is pay scale (Which i dont get because Doctors actually are getting handsome salary) 2nd is they want to be posted in the area, mentioned in Domicile. Which i think not a genuine demand.

Doctor has is created a scene that he is standing against the reforms and all, but in reality is wants his promotion.

Anyhow my information can be misleading but this is what i got. None of the party is entirely innocent, Dr. Zia should have controlled his action and Minster as well. Both should be dealt in a suitable manner and in future incidences like those should be avoided.

Peace./

I second Mamoon here. Everyone is aware of my allegiances falling with the PTI in the past and how I have debated with the likes of Mamoon and others in favour of PTI.

However, I am not a cult follower. I was hopeful, I actually thought the PTI were going to do something positive but let me tell you guys, I have lost all hope at this point and I feel that our country has gone to the dogs.

Mamoon, my mother is a beaurocrat and I have other family members working in top positions in the Government as well and I will just add to your knowledge that PTI's corrupt ministers threatening and blackmailing EDUCATED, hard-working CSP officers extends to Punjab and the Federal Govt. as well. It is extremely unfortunate.

My mother who has been a government servant for decades says that she has never come across a more incompetent, ill-informed and corrupt bunch.

Imran Khan himself is not that bad but those around him are purely acting like gangsters. Take care of yourself bud. We are treading into very dark times ahead.

My father constantly works with govt officials in the Health Sector in Pakistan and he keeps mentioning how shocked he is at the complete lack of preperation by the PTI upon assuming office and the incompetency on display.

My mother was a hardcore PTI supporter but even she is now beginning to lose faith now. I don't think Imran Khan would have been able to come this far and come to power without compromising on electables and politicians with tainted pasts. I am only bewildered and angry at the fact that he is making so many u turns and is not doing anything now that he has a golden opportunity to do something as the leader of the country.

He risks being another Joseph Estrada

Imran and his cult followers were naive to think that bringing electables to the party would not come back to haunt them. These crooks and thugs were not going to change to change by switching to PTI.

This whole idea that when the leader himself is honest and committed, all the institutions and individuals under him will work with diligence was utter rubbish. It never works that way.

These tried and tested failures who were criticized by Imran when they were in other parties are not going to bring tabdeeli.

Naya Pakistan is turning into a circus and Imran has no idea what he’s doing. The political class is still the same and nothing has changed at the grassroots level.

In fact, things are getting worse because these ministers are misusing PTI’s popularity to blackmail bureaucrats and abuse their power.

There is no long-term vision or strategy and the government is making things up as they go along. The constant chopping and changing in the cabinet is an example of how clueless the government is.

Again, giving examples of previous parties will not make PTI look better. If they we’re incompetent, that doesn’t mean that PTI has the license to do the same. They sold the country the dream of change but they no idea how to put that change into practice.

This is only the beginning - I shudder to think where this circus will take us over the next 2-3 years.

Watching the video of that doctor getting beaten up sent shivers down my spine. This is going to become an everyday thing. I am seriously thinking about whether this is a place where I would one day like to raise a family.

The Minister's guards over reacted and should face the criminal case but first, the guy himself threw a barrage of eggs on Dr Burki.

Violence begets violence.

Doctors are more worried about the government rules that make it mandatory for doctors to serve in their domicile districts. Otherwise, a lot worse happens in Pakistan. Couple of years back one of my relatives, serving as an administrator in a Punjab hospital was kidnapped for a day by a N league MNA because his recommended patient was not prioritized. This never came to news !

Nowhere the country hasn't been previously under your beloved PMLN and PPP.

Speaking of PPP, who you've promised the proverbial next child and vote to, your absence is noted in the thread celebrating them reaching 400 HIV victims in Sindh

Since you have mentioned your mother thats why in her respect i wont discuss this post with you :) Follow your mother's advises bro. Anyhow, i would like to add families has been raised in the era of wars, marshal laws, supreme court attacks, under PPP era under PMLN era then am pretty sure family can be raised better NOW. Most of the bureaucrat kids gets settled in abroad anyways :)

Have a good life.

The govt Ministers must not react to provocation with violence- they are public reps and should remember that they must set the right example.

Long essays aside, Gallup has released its polling a couple of days ago. KPK CM gets highest approval ratings from ppl of KPK and Sindh CM gets lowest.

Mamon ji missed providing important info that these folks pelted eggs, so violence I assume was against the pelting. Not supporting violence at all, but Mamon won't provide this info because it doesn't fit his agenda. Funny enough all the doom and gloom he keeps mentioning against PTI, yet he supports a pathetic party who had an extortionist, thug, murderer, kidnapper, bhatta-khoor etc Mr. Zardari as a supreme leader, and now he supports his incompetent son who can barely put two urdu words together. Pretty much he supports a party who is known to be most corrupt through out Pak's history so any cry from Mr. Mamon is pointless.

Every party had thugs in the past in different departments, atleast this time around we have a leader who raises voice and takes against corrupt and thieves of Pakistan who have made this country kangal. PTI is not an angelic party, as parties are made up of hundreds of individuals so drastic cases could happen. For whatever it is, PTI will be better than other choors in the long run, atleast I sincerely hope so or this country will keep drowning like it has under all other parties. Yes current times are rigid, but it's nothing that Pakistan hasn't seen in the past.

As for this specific case, I hope Minister's guard will be brought to justice and punished.

The govt Ministers must not react to provocation with violence- they are public reps and should remember that they must set the right example.

You should read my post in which i provided complete info about the incident. One should not believe one sided story.
yes, Govt dealt it wronlgy and should be dealt with. But other party is not innocent either.

Interesting to see PTI popularity still on rise in KP although decreased in Punjab according to latest Roshan Pakistan survey. So Roshan Pakistan expect PTI to win 9 more KP assembly seats if elections are held today. ANP for sue tabah de!

So KP CM changed, Cabinet changed, second time in govt and still popularity is increasing? Not sure why it's still increasing if PTI is really bad for the people of KP as claimed by a few here...

A fake party with a fake mandate. They have taken the country for a ride and have fooled the public of KP twice. A bunch of clowns who have no idea what they are doing.

You will do well to get out of this mess. Unfortunately, I am stuck. The health sector is a disaster and they have no idea what they are doing.

Only fools who have zero awareness of ground realities are still supporting this sham.

When will the disaster end?

10 years of this circus will turn Pakistan into Afghanistan, but unlike Afghanistan, we will be responsible for own demise.

Let’s hope that the nation wakes up and realized how incompetent and clueless this government is.

Yeah the only one loyal to the country was mard-e-momin, mard-e-haq Nawaz Sharif.

Let's just ignore the fact how he looted, plundered and raped country for thirty years and built property abroad.

Keep crying, you have four more years of rona dhona ahead of you.

Mamoon

How do you expect the nation to wake up?

The nation has been infected with the ‘tabdeeli’ virus, and I hope that in time we will find a cure.

As far as the military is concerned, they brought these incompetent clowns into power, but their incompetence is ultimately dangerous for the military as well.

At some point, they will have to act if things continue to be disastrous. The first 15 months of PTI’s reign has been an absolute circus where their incompetence and inexperience has been badly exposed.

They cannot hide behind the anti-corruption rhetoric and the ‘we inherited a mess’ excuse forever. Countries are not build on anti-corruption stance or by complaining about the past. If the next 15 months are as bad as the previous 15 months, we can brace ourselves for some action.

everyone is expecting change in 15 months lmao, pakistan has been going downhill for the past 40+ years. nothing is going to change in 15 months this will take decades to reverse all the damage done.

its a broke country, were citizens dont wanna pay taxes, are stealing gas and electricity, and then they cry that they dont have GOV amenities.

i guess people were happy paying bribes, since its EASIER.

A brief update:

All public hospitals in KP have been closed for about a month because of strike by paramedics and doctors.

No one is bothered to find out where the poor go for treatment, no talks, nothing.

The media has been instructed to not provide coverage which is why overseas cult-followers are unaware of what is going on.

They think the poor people are being provided with first-class free treatment as we speak.

The latest is that PMDC has been disbanded by a Presidential ordinance, as if that would have make any difference in practical terms.

Then we are told that PTI is a “godsend” for the poor public. This is the result of 6 years of “health reforms” by this joker government.

DONT LIE

I dont know which kind of a doctor you are that you dont even about yesterday meeting?

Yesterday a meeting was held between Grand health alliance and Government team and the talks were successful as well.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Minister for Defence Pervaiz Khattak here on Thursday held successful negotiations with the doctors who took back their call for protest.

Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri was also part of the negotiating team which held talks with a three-member delegation of doctors representing the Grand Health Alliance which had been protesting in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for more than 30 days.

Minister for Defence Pervaiz Khattak said the talks with doctors were successful as they listened to the just demands of the doctors and assured implementation of them.

It was decided to form a committee to resolve the issues and demands of doctors, he said adding no doctor would become part of any protest or sit in. Doctors were persuaded to stay away from any political movement.

Doctor Amir Taj who represented the doctors said the two hour talks with the government team were a success.

"We accepted the offer made by the elders of the province. The sit in of the doctors and health employees is postponed immediately" as the government delegation assured that they would talk to the Prime Minister for resolution of their problems, he added.

Yes and I suppose DRsohail is a certified jhoota as well. Read his post above. Your drama can work with overseas trolls but not with people who are part of the system. You are clearly unaware of the ground realities.

These “talks” and “promises” don’t mean anything. We will see if anything practical and concrete comes out of this.

Your cluelessness can be summed up from the fact that you are relying on the word of the crook and fraud Pervez Khattak, who is as much the “Minister of Defense” as you and I are.

And please don’t try to deflect the issue of the lack of media coverage. The government has tried its best to keep a lid on this fiasco because they know very well who is at fault here.

The only reason why this alliance drama is now happening is because the doctors threatened to join JUI long march, which has already set the cat among the PTI pigeons.

Once this long march is over and if this fake government survives, we will be back to square one and the demands will not be met.

However, we can be sure that you will still be defending them just like you blindly defended their handling of BRT before finally accepting their sheer incompetence.

The Fazlur Rahman Long March has already scared PTI to death. They know that they don’t have the spine to deal with a protest that will be far bigger than their dharna circus full of burger kids.

Now since they cannot afford the strike issue to be nationalized, which will happen if the doctors join his long march, the provincial government is feeling the heat.

However, everyone knows that PTI does not have a shred of credibility and they great expertise in lying and misleading the public. No one should take the word of Pervez Khattak who promised in November 2017 that the BRT will be completed by May 2018.

This issue has to be nationalized because this isn’t the first time the provincial government has lied about respecting the demands of the protesters.

In order to ensure that the government will not back-track again, it is imperative that Imran Khan makes a public announcement which would mean that the provincial government will be held accountable.

For that to happen, Imran will have to take a break from his Twitter war with India, his crocodile tears for Kashmir and his support for the war criminal and dictator Erdogan.

Mamoon isn't lying. Here in shaikh zayed hospital lahore, things are extremely distressing; we doctors haven't been given salary of over 2 months due to 'lack of funds' from federal government. The normal everyday medicines are not available. In fact so much as dripsets and iv cannulas. Quite recently, the OPDs have been closed shut in protestation.

Also the grand health alliance blocks mall road and shadman regularly in protestation over the cruel MTI act which will further elevate costs of healthcare and cripple the poor.

Of course none of which you will ever get to see or hear on local media.

So far a disastrous crusade with PTI in government.

You mean the local media which spends 24/7 propagating against the PTI and literally tells us when NS breaks wind as worthwhile news.
Mamoon is a liar and hypocrite and that's why he runs from me and he has been exposed by me literally every day. You may or may not be telling the truth, but I have no reason to doubt you. Let's see the PTI respond to your allegations.

Heve not responded to ours here in kpk for more than one month.Hope they sort it out soon.

What are the issues involved? Are the Doctors justified with their demands, is the govt totally wrong?

I think Doctors have some genuine demands but I think they are overdoing it.I personally did not attend any of the strike,I do go to ward almost daily but I think Govt should have tackled all those things in a better way.One thing I am not agreed with my fellow colleagues and where I always get stick from them is that I always say we are not stakeholders of the health system but it is the patients who should be and they are.But I am really disappointed by The remarks of Shaukat yousufzai and some other ministers. You do not treat yous doctors that way. Both are here to be blamed but As a dcotor I will obviously give more blame to the govt officials.
Doctors want job safety which is there due right and they also want a say in new rules and MTi,DHA,RHA.

By the way MTI has not delivered in Major hospitals so far.So PTi has to be very careful about DHA and RHA which is basically extension of MTI.

Thanks for the fair right up. There is a balance between workers rights and the rights of patients and the balance is extremely difficult to strike because for the politician the patients are the numerous in number and votes and Doctors are wrongly seen as impediment to improved services which win votes.

Janikhel protesters begin march towards Islamabad with bodies of 4 teenage boys

After a week of a protest sit-in outside the Janikhel police station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Bannu district, local tribesmen and relatives of four teenage boys whose bullet-riddled bodies were found last week began a protest march towards Islamabad on Sunday.

The tribesmen and relatives have been protesting the brutal killing of the four boys — aged between 13 to 17 years — whose bodies were found in a field on Sunday, for the last six days. The boys had gone missing three weeks ago.

The victims were identified as Ahmadullah, Mohammad Rahim, Razamullah, and Atifullah.

On Sunday around 10am, around 10,000 people from the Janikhel area of Bannu bordering South Waziristan started a long march to Islamabad along with the bodies of the slain boys, demanding action against anti-state elements.

Police blocked the main road in Bannu and stopped the protesters from marching for several hours before they were allowed to proceed on their path.

The situation turned tense when the protesters tried to cross blockades to enter Bannu city, with police firing tear gas at them and resorting to aerial firing. In response, the protesters pelted stones at the police and managed to remove the barricades.

A video showed the protesters raising the slogans of "What do we want? Peace!", "We want justice!" and "negligent state!".

"In the start, the march was smooth and peaceful," Lateef Wazir, a resident of Janikhel participating in the march told Dawn.com, adding that upon reaching Toche Pull, they faced a blockade and resistance from the administration and police.

He alleged that police stopped the protesters forcibly and used tear gas to disperse them, saying a large number of policemen had been deployed to stop the march.

Wazir said they were protesting peacefully and demanding of the government to take action and expose the elements behind the killing of the four young boys.

"Disappointed with the provincial government, the elders of Janikhel decided to march to Islamabad and agreed to not bury the bodies till the arrest of the killers," he told Dawn.com.

After keeping the road blocked for several hours, police allowed the march to continue, according to Wazir.

On the other hand, police in Karak district took Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) leader and tribal MNA Mohsin Dawar into custody to prevent him from travelling to Bannu to join and lead the march. PTM chief Manzoor Pashteen was also taken into custody in Kohat, according to PTM sources.

Meanwhile, KP social welfare minister Hisham Inamullah Khan along with some elders of the Marwat tribe reached Bannu in the form of a jirga to hold talks with the protesters.

He told leaders of the protest that the tribes of Marwat and Bannu had brotherly ties and the former shared the grief of the local residents over the boys' killing.

The minister urged the protesters to bury the bodies, saying he would convey their "legitimate demands" to the chief minister and Prime Minister Imran Khan.

As a gesture of goodwill and in accordance with local custom, Khan also sacrificed three sheep, which the protest organisers accepted.

There was no immediate result of the negotiations, with the protest leaders seeking time to consult the Janikhel tribe.

KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan reached Bannu in the afternoon and was expected to meet the Janikhel elders to resolve the situation.

Earlier, the protesters had placed the four bodies outside the local police station, demanding a shuhada package for the victims' families, bringing perpetrators of the crime to justice, and taking steps to restore peace and harmony in the region.

A relative of the boys had told Dawn that the families of the deceased had no enmity with anyone.

Political and social activists, representatives of traders, and people from different walks of life also participated in the protest to show solidarity with the bereaved families.

Provincial Minister for Transport Malik Shah Mohammad Khan and local administration officials failed to convince the protesters to call off the sit-in.

A day earlier, a delegation of religious scholars also reached Janikhel and held talks with the protesters, highlighting the importance of immediate burial of the dead in light of the teachings of Islam.

DARRA ADAM KHEL: Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz on Sunday escaped an attack unharmed as he was on his way from his ancestral town of Kohat to Peshawar city.
Unidentified assailants attacked his car, shattering the windows.
Faraz told the media that he is safe but his driver has been injured and is being transported to Peshawar for medical attention.
Varying accounts of the nature of the attack have surfaced.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry tweeted moments after the news broke, saying that Faraz had been attacked by gunmen at Darra Adam Khel.
"Thankfully, he remained safe but unfortunately the driver is seriously injured and has been transported to the hospital.
"We strongly condemn this incident," he wrote.

So far PTI has won 3 seats.

2 seats from Buner and one from Bannu. And leading on 4 other seats of Buner as well.

Going very tough competition in Peshawar, well every Peshawri knows that its terribly hard to defeat Mr. Ghulam family in Peshawar. So i wont be surprised if JUIF wins from Peshawar.
