It is not good when teams like Australia, India are playing a lot more, even Srilanka played more than us, even Bangladesh played 24 Tests in this period............

10 tests per year isnt bad for a team like pakistan who dont play at home , I am fine with the number.

Thats actually not bad at all given the obvious issues surrounding Pakistan . I'd say good job PCB for giving top priority to test cricket.

Thats OK , we are not playing india for another one decade at least. 9/10 tests are fine.

The lesser we play the more we save izzat.. if we play more then we get shot out for 81 against 8th ranked West Indies.

South africa is another team who don't play much test cricket.
It's a bit inflated because of the clusters of away tours - that's 1st time in 4-6 years in AUS, ENG, WI, NZ. If I take out these 12 Tests in last 10 months, that's about 23-23 Tests in 38 months, just few more than IND in 38 weeks.
However, I have to praise PCB for their sacrifice here - for that, I understand how mentally demoralizing for PCB to arrange a Test - in that 5 days, they could have played 3T20s!!!!!!!!! Unless they were forced upon by other Boards, I don't think PAK would have played any Test series bigger than two Test, better is one.
Are you sure? Take a different approach in calculation - take out IND from everyone's data (as they don't play with PAK) - then calculate % of Test, ODI & T20 played by each team in last 5, 10 & 15. Result will be embarrassing for someone bearing PAK flag.

Pak is better than 'save izzat'. Don't be harsh for only one innings.it happens sometimes.

In next two years we have 16 test matches excluding india and BD , which isnt bad given that we are missing playing 5 test matches.

2 test matches against zimbabwe in zimbabwe in august 2018
3 test matches against newzealand in UAE in novemeber 2018
3 test matches agaisnt south africa in southafrica dec/jan 2018/19

I am not going to deep dive , may be south africa dont play much cricket overall but they have played fewer test matches than pakistan have in the last 3 and a half years. Pakistan have played 31 and south africa have played 30.

Plus add Pakistan tour to Ocenia 2019 6 Tests and English Summer 2020 4 tests
That will change in next 12 months, when PAK will play 3 Tests & SAF will play 4 (ENG), 2 (BD), 3 (AUS), 4 (IND). On top of that, probably with WI as well. PAK had the most productive year since 2009-10 & probably till next few more years.

5 against India and Bangladesh due to political tension,2 against Zimbabwe due to financial problems and 1 each against Lanka and Windies last year...

the five against India and bangladesh are the bigger problems. We can make up the other ones. We really need a cricket environment where India can put aside its political problems with us and just play. But they are using cricket as a cultural weapon against us so hence why wont do so.

Certain boards have a habit of snipping away a test from a 3 test tour and adding a couple of T20s. That has to stop.
Then you have the likes of Lanka and West Indies culling entire test series altogether.
The India - Pakistan series was never going to go ahead so that's hardly a surprise.

Well when even most Ppers who are uber fans of the sport cant bother to watch test cricket 5 days in a row times the number of matches, how else do you expect PCB to make money.
Unfortunately cricket is treated like a business not a charity.
So if people want test cricket not to fade away, put your time where your mouth is and watch the entire match and the entire series.
Unfortunately that means you may have to divorce your wife and quit your job.
Watching highlights on the net doesnt count.

So far, 3 of the 22 has reduced, while 3 (AUS) I am not sure if it was ever there. 16 out of 22, isn't bad but SAF's 25 before WC is happening.
