Lahore Qalandars [179/1] storm to a 9 wicket win over Quetta Gladiators [178/6] in PSL6

Babar
Fakhar
Hafeez

Looks like our top 3

Nah Rizwan at 3 and hafeez 4, don't wanna lose hafeez so early in the peace, he is half of our batting in t20s in current form, even babar is not good enough to be even compared to him in this respect.

I know you’re speaking rhetorically, but the answer is that CPL he went to that we all made fun of. Remember his pictures at the beach that fans trolled him about? Anyways during that trip he observed the Caribbean attitude towards hitting sixes — said he realized for the first time in his life it’s not just that these are big guys and are naturally talented at hitting sixes, but that they actively practice six hitting in the nets in much the same way that he himself would practice his drives in the nets all his life — he had simply never been exposed to power hitting coaching at any point in his entire career. Said in the same interview that he stopped practicing his drives in the nets for the first time in his career, and focused entirely on his shape and core when trying to clear the rope. He began golf around the same time, and this helped him understand the importance of body positioning and a stable swing at the ball. Very interesting story, all said.

Wow, I never knew that. Was that CPL 2019, after the WC?

Basis one game?

Rizwan has technique and plenty else to spare.

Fakhar is a lappe baaz with a great eye. Who gets lucky once in a while.

Soon the technique drama will be over. A real T20 opener has stepped up, not ‘Mr I need 30 balls to get my eye in”.

Interesting. But why cant some of our other batsmen can start doing similar drills and improve their power game? Surely if Hafeez can improve that others can as well if they put in the yards.

Can't drop Rizwan right now.

Babar
Rizwan
Fakhar
Hafeez
Haider

or

Babar
Fakhar
Riz

Maybe we can move one off Babar or Rizwan one down. Fakhar will provide the left right combo

I need to start playing golf and become a universe boss like Hafeez

I decent innings doesnt count.for fakhar..especially on a flat pitch. We need consistency

Nah hafeez always had the hitting talent and gift of timing other batters of ours are not so blessed nor they are smart enough. Still salute to hafeez, and he has proved its never too late.

We just don’t have that culture. And no doubt Hafeez is a proper genius too, has always had a gift with timing the ball. In Pakistan no one wants to work hard, and even if you do, you might not be working hard on the right things. Hafeez mentioned recently that the first advice he gives every youngster is for them to take matters into their own hands. That’s the biggest thing he’s learned in his career. He stopped making excuses and took ownership of his failures.

Shinwari running with intent to turn it around for his team

Shinwari should be no where near Sarfraz today in dressing room after the game. Bahut gusse me hai.

True. Might not be a bad idea to hire Hafeez in NCA part-time to work on some young batsmen with those modern drills. He always have been a good student of the game so would love sharing his knowledge as well.

Career in Pak national team or PSL?

Both I think. It’s a shame because I think he could have been a decent new ball bowler for us in Tests. Ruined his career by skipping first class cricket and going to play Lanka Premier League.

Hafeez has been masterful as always but its Fakhar who has anchored this chase from ball one and quite impressively at that. Reminder why he's a necessity in the T20 side.

If a 20 year old was batting like Hafeez, trust me they’d be being compared with Sir Donald Bradman. 40 years young.

I personally haven’t seen as much freakish T20 form as Hafeez has been for sometime. PSL, international cricket everywhere he plays he just produces something exceptional every other match. Outstanding stuff

Bazid asking the right questions, this is why its better for them to speak Urdu, Sarfraz could never have got his point across in English especially in this mood
