Lahore Qalandars (204/4) defeat Quetta Gladiators (201/9) in a thrilling contest by 6 wickets to clinch their third PSL title

Lol at Amir. Whenever the pressure is on, this guy crumbles like a cookie. What an absolute waste of a player. Hahaha.
 
But give him 340 to defend in a big final (something never chased before in history of cricket) and his fans will steal credit from batsmen and claim he is the match winner
 
Amazing match. Amazing end to the tournament. PSL is here to stay for sure. And amazing crowd and stadium atmosphere. The new renovation has really improved the vibe and atmosphere to watch cricket.
 
Mohd Wasim Jr should have been picked for his yorkers. Fahim Ashraf is a liability with the ball.

Quetta can't complain, they got away with a few wides that should have been called by the umpire
 
Qalandars were absolutely spot on with their team selection, draft selection and replacement draft picks. On that they deserve to win alone.

Glad Shaheen silenced his critics who kept stated he won the previous two psl titles because of Rashid Khan alone.
 
Perera, mitchell, billings, raza good foreign lineup for lahore.Add Fakhar, shafique, naeem akhlaq as local. They can win another they make retentions right
 
Kusal Perera did the Imad Wasim of last season but on steroids!
 
I never wanted quetta to win because of saud snubbing khawaja nafay place. Khawaja is 100% future white ball opener for pak.

Yes i think this time the quality of int. cricketers participated was top notch. Hardly any retired int. Cricketer played in PSL. And this can be further improved in next seasons.
 
Wasim Jrs unavailability was really costly to Quetta. He had been bowling at a really good economy rate this season too and his Yorkers probably would’ve saved them here.

Could be, but then again, Babar has also played some knocks that are bigger than Imad’s entire career, for example the 196 vs Australia to save the Karachi Test.

I accept babar rizwan doesn't deserve a place in t20i. But babar still gathers more crowd than any player so he should be ur platinum player in psl.

Sometimes people believe a captain is great for winning titles but they only win due to fine margins and having greater players. Even people believe pep only wins 🏆 due to spending the most money. Would he win managing the team what fergie win his title with?

For me most pak captains are the worst captains and this is clear as daylights watching them compete vs top 4/5 teams. They don't have a clue. Shaheen is in Babars league when it comes to captaincy

If Lahore lost today alot of the people who are praising him would be saying he bottled it and isn't a good captain.

Shaheen as a bowler and coming in to bowl with Nawaz set out there did save 20-30 runs for his side.

He did a decent job as skipper. Guys like Babar do not step up for their team whether it’s under pressure or without pressure.

Babar and shaheen are the only captains who give chances to new players. Yes babar doesnt deserve national captaincy but never saw u praising that either. So biased that u become just a joker.

Shadab is a great captain who just ruins an emerging pick.

The problem with karachi players that they are either good captains or good players. Both are not possible. Same story with imad, sarfraz, saud and many others

There's one thing that goes into Shaheen's favor. That's his aggressive mindset and the ability to lead from the front when he does.

That means he takes more risks and will also have lows like the last season where the team finished at the bottom.

They lost majorly bcz their overseas picks were **** and saim babar couldnt get them over the line.

What do u say about him tactically and plan b if things are going horriblely wrong? How do u compare him to a stokes or is he the best Pakistani captain from a mediocre bunch? @Mamoon @Rana

You do understand he is compelled to pick one emerging player every year in every team? Do you understand the rules? He didn’t pick Ali Raza, Saim, Maaz because he wanted to give them game time instead of senior players…it was the emerging player category rule that he has to pick at least one young player….

So we should give Babar extra credit for a rule that applies to everyone?

LQ opened and backed Naeem throughout

Quetta eventually depended on Nawaz as their key player

IU messed up, that’s one franchise yes

Multan’s best bowler (not planned) was Ubaid. They wanted Shahid Aziz to be their main man

Warner played Saad at 4, number 4 despite all the talk and pressure to not trust him in that position.


David Warner deserves more credit for his trust in Saad than Babar don’t you think??
 
No doubt Sikander Reza went through a lot of khuari and hassle and showed his commitment to travel a good 15-16 hours via economy and took the field immediately for Lahore Qalandars in the all important final and hit the winning runs.

But let's be real, the real architects of LQ win were Mohd Naeem who got the Qalandars off to a flying start which was vital in a 200 run chase and then Khusal Pereira who scored 60 plus runs at a strike rate of 200.

All the credit, limelight and glory fell on Sikander Raza, hardly anyone is paying any tribute to Muhammad Naeem or Sikander Reza for their vital performances in the final.

Shameful stuff
