Hafeez has to play a big innings if Lahore are to have any chance here, but doubt Lahore chases this down.

This should be a good game Peshawar slight faviroutes but dont right lohare off

Good move to open the bowling with Malik. Pretty sure Fakhar and Tamim won't have been expecting that.

MMHS, Imam keeping. Something he can develop and help Pakistan?

I guess the Speed gun is operating on a generator and it kick starts into gear by the end of the first innings

Mahmood with wicket of Fakhar on the first ball

If Tamim can bat today like he did in the Pak vs Ban 2015 series.
Rahat Ali's still got swing. Shame he never rose to a higher rank.

That seam position from Saqib Mahmood was to die for. Fakhar can't do much about that.

I know Fakhar isn't a good T20 player but still, he has been shocking.

Fakhar's dismissal today is his last 2 years summarized in one delivery.
Been found out and hasnt been able to rectify such a huge defect.

Poor shot from Tamim, was looking good till this

Lol looks like we have found how to use Imam a bit more as a cricketer

Is Imam a good WK? If so he can solve our WK batsman issue in ODIs.

LQ in some trouble. A lot will depend upon Hafeez here

Sohail Akhtar being exosed against proper pace and bounce there

The man who may well have won the game for PZ with that 37 run carnage at end

All said and done a LQ vs KK final would be epic. Imagine if it had happened in a normal year with a jam packed Gadafi or National stadium.

At the moment seems like a distant dream. Also LQ is floundering in the chase anyway.

Can't believe this guy is playing top flight of Pakistan cricket. IIRC he couldn't even find a spot in a National T20 first eleven.

Who did Sohail Akhtar drop on Rauf's bowling earlier? Was it Vilijoen?

Stop barking about Sarfaraz in every thread loser. He isn't even remotely involved in this game nor is he a part of the international sides. Your constant barking is getting annoying paindu.

Seems like your parents haven't taught you any manners. Sit down you keyboard warrior. I can talk about that racist basta.. If I want to. Post in English I don't speak or understand urdu. If I said this about imam you would have been fine just beucase i said it about the shameless clown hence you got trigerred. We know he's your hero.

More importantly, it tells what education and proper guidance can do to a player. Sadly education has left PAK cricket and most of these players don't have the basic understanding of what skill set can improve their chances. What Imam is trying here is opening another avenue for him - in T20, the WK's role isn't tougher than 1st baseman of baseball; anyone with decent hands and agile feet can keep wickets in T20.

Imam's uncle must have told him that there is a back-door in PCT T20 team and if he can keep reasonably, he can & should get a window in T20 team - he is doing that. This is I wrote for Asif Ali & Fakhar Zaman many times - they could have easily tried in this route and cement place for 5-6 years, before that it was Umer Akmal. Long, long, long back Sadiq Muhammad was a right-handed middle order batsman and he had 1 or 2 FC hundreds as right-hander .... but his elder bros realized that in PAK team only scope Sadiq had was an opener's role, that too if as a lefti as there was no one in domestics. So, Sadiq started practicing as left-hander and on second FC season debuted for PAK. Yes, his elder brother was Captain & immediate senior bro was vice Captain, but the idea did help.

I won't mind if imam makes it as WK in T20s - that effort & intelligence deserves a reward.

Quality of batting in PSL is absolutely shocking. The shots played by Tamim and Sohail epitomise this.

Thank you for coming Sohail Akhtar don't let the door hit you on the way out.

3 wickets for saqib, quality of batting has been pretty mediocre.

Would have been amazing atmosphere. Good thing is cricket is back in Pakistan which is really gonna help PSL grow further as we saw in this edition before Covid-19. Hopefully things can get normal soon and crowds can be allowed the stadiums.

I wanna like LQ but every season they do something stupid.

They've had test specialist Azhar Ali as their captain then Salman Butt as an opener but they still didn't learn their lesson. Now they have selected Abid Ali in the squad instead of one of the youngsters who performed in the National T20.

They didn't have a wicket keeper.

Sohail Akhtar is pure garbage. Right from the word go today.

He won the toss and in his interview he said he will look to post a total of 150+. This was in urdu as well.

He dropped the catch of Vilijoen and that cost his team 20 runs in the last over

He stopped the game for 10 minutes because of a sight screen issue that was below the waist line, only to get out 2 balls later after having no clue against Saqib

This partnership is the most important one for LQ

They didn't have a wicket keeper.

Then, it must have been in plan to keep with Imam - it's not that out of blue they figured out that we don't have a keeper and let's toss whose name comes. Imam probably has used this long break to work on his keeping, something that can cement his ODI spot for 10-12 years as well, if he can keep decently. Fields at point & gully, means he has a safe pair or palms, decent anticipation and quick feet - should be able to match Kamran at least.

Peshawar have that X factor about them in the bowling department with Wahab and now Saqib,

Could be the team to beat.

Good start here by wahab riaz. Giving dunk no width here

1st loose ball by wahab and spanked through midwicket for 4

I think, that Rauf over change the game completely. I was writing in that Mumbai-Delhi game - what just about 10-12 extra runs can do in T20s, today is a perfect example. I think, this batting hara-kiri by LQ is because of those 10-12 extra that they were shell shocked on last over. Around 155-160, I am sure LQ would have approached the target differently.

Ben Dunk won't face any spinner today to feast on sadly. But being an Australian he shouldn't have any problem against 5 pacers either.

Could have given him more time but the skipper had to make his presence felt.

Overall, good theory. But I believe the reasoning is more simple - Zalmi lost their backup wicket keeper Banton and has no other backup. Kamran is injured, so they turned to their best fielder, Imam.

I don't like this tactics of T20 - Captains change bowlers too frequently. Even 4 overs are not enough for a pacer to get into proper rhythm, and they sometimes make 3 spells out of 4 overs. Mahmood was bowling beautifully, took 3 wickets as well and they took him off. Now, that guy will come to bowl after 40 minutes, get warmed up and bowl to may be a settled MoHa or Dunk. Should have completed 4 overs at one go and try to knock one of this pair - game over. If any of these two stays for 20 overs, PZ won't win this game.

Then, he should look into it seriously - Rizwan isn't uprooting trees in LO cricket.

Battle between to pakistani legends. Hafeez punches a drive off rahat for 4
