Its clear to me that with exception to the CT Final Pakistan have committed lots of silly mistake against India in the recent past.

By silly mistake i mean un-necessary run-outs, easy drop catches, bowlers not bowling to plans, batsmen playing silly shots, making wrong decisions at the toss etc. all due to the extra pressure of India game.

I am sure most PAK fans who have watched those games will agree that the players just get under huge pressure of these matches and make silly mistakes. One possible reason why this happens is the amount of time the players are seen talking about India and how big a game it is etc to media and journalists who then sensationalise it. Where if you look at Malik he always dodge the question and says its only cricket and just another game. Malik response to this type of question is more like what you get from Indian players who also dont seem to be effected by these games as much.

I think it high time he teaches his colleagues how to not take India/Pak games as a different game to any other and stop giving out these stupid statements as it only plays in their minds come match days.

One big example is Imam who gave out statements before Asia cup about India/Pak games and how the whole nation wants them to win and they will try to perform better against India. And the result is that he is performing okay against other teams and looking under huge pressure against India. Instead of this he should get into a mindset similar to Malik or Indian players and just take it as just another game. Next time the journalists ask him about such games he should say oh its just another game and that will help him on match days as well because he will then get into a good mind set.

Malik's calmness is something they need to pick up but that only comes with experience.

Yes our players could learn a lot from the way Malik played. I think Malik would make a good coach when he retires

Have you honestly ever seen a Pakistani cricket learn and improve, since the day Imran Khan retired? Not sure I have..they come, they impress, they depress, they go.. and that cycle continues.

And you see players from other teams like India, England, South Africa, Australia who may not impress initially but they work hard and improve, and develop into better players, ultimately giving successful performances with more consistency.

Malik had good record against India and in Asia cup. Others with huge expectations fails due to pressure they built on themselves.

We miss good spinning options on these tracks. Hafeez's appearance missing here "Might be".
