I think the bowlers like Abbas, Bilal, Yasir did the best they could on that flat slow pitch.

The main culprit was Sarfaraz with his poor handling of the bowlers and field placings. And ofcourse Wahab for being a complete passenger, cannot have a second seamer going missing in a 2 seamer attack and bowling Abbas to the ground

Yasir was poor with ball until last hour of the game, to many bad balls, add to thst he applied no pressure by bowling maidens, creating pressure and setting up batsmen for dismissals until last hour.

Bilal bowled well 1st inns snd was tidy in 2nd.

Poor captaincy. Snail like batting in both our inns in part and poor use of reviews were also to blame.

Yasir underperformed for 90% of the match. There is no denying that. Yes, the pitch was loaded against bowlers but it was the same for every bowler. Yasir defintely didn't step up in this match.

And the less said about Wahab, the better. PAK could have gone in with 10 players and it would have been the same - that's how little Wahab contributed in this whole test.

Yeah we shouldn’t be harsh on bowlers but surely on captain why were there boundary riders when you were playing a test match that too in 4 innings with scoreboard pressure. The target was 482 not 182 even if it was 182 the only chance for winning the match was to attack not sit at boundaries.even in worst case He should have attacked atleast after tea the score needed in the session was around 6 per over let them play the shots on this sluggish pitch rather than giving singles with open fields that’s the only way you can get them out. And now he should accept his fault rather than giving excuses you cannot improve unless you acknowledge your mistakes and improve yourself

I don't understand what else could we have done.... we had them 3 down at the end of day 4... and had 7 wickets to take in the whole day.... how is captaincy to blame when you have controlled the match for literally all of the 5 days?

Yasir has thrived in these conditions, and if you go back 4 years into the past, he made his debut against the same team and knocked them out as a newbie... the guy has come a full circle and maybe after 4 years, he is not the same 4th inning specialist he used to.
I can mention countless games he has won and come alive for us in the 4th innings after being useless for the whole match... our trump card hasn't been to the level he should be at

Goes to show how important Yasir is.
Without him UAE wont be even recognised as pakistan's fortress.
