1. The ticketing fiasco, which meant Pakistan fans had to line up for hours outside the first game against West Indies. By the time most fans got in, the game was already over. An utter disgrace in logistics from the ICC. To save face ICC decided to issue a full refund, but what about the plane, hotel and train tickets fan's had to pay and they could not enjoy the game.
2. The total lack of planning for the weather conditions in the UK. Reserve days and moving venues are logistically difficult, but few other things which could have been done were not done
A. Only choose grounds to host that have good drainage
B. Use covers that cover the whole outfield rather than only parts of it. if India and Sri Lanka can do this then why not ICC and ECB
C. Be flexible about using floodlights at venues and not be stuck up on cut off ties
3. No idea about economics. ICC will be refunding probably millions of pounds worth of tickets, but are still refusing to think of a better plan against future wash outs. They are letting things be. How about adapt and show to the fans that they are being proactive about it. Show the fans that you want the matches to go ahead rather than being an inflexiable outdated organization
Honestly, instead of being a showcase for the game that will increase the popularity of the game in the UK and abroad, ICC is doing its best to alienrate the fans and turn them away form the sport. Its a real shame and someone at ICC sould be fired for this!
