The points raised in OP are fair though and I sympathize with
@FearlessRoar
Now, let's go back to December. While everyone was celebrating it as a major victory for Mohsin Naqvi, I consistently pointed out that it was actually a failure for the PCB. They should have never accepted the hybrid model. People are only now beginning to realize how big a mistake it was—something I had already highlighted three months ago.
Indian media has already started criticizing the hybrid model, calling it unfeasible. Reports suggest that players from South Africa and Australia were unhappy about being on standby in Dubai over the weekend, waiting to find out whom and where they would play. Given these concerns, I strongly doubt we will ever see the hybrid model again, including for the much-discussed WT20 2026.
As I said in December and will reiterate now
India will not play any of its matches outside India in WT20 2026, including the game against Pakistan. If Pakistan refuses to travel to India, ICC will likely place both teams in separate groups. Additionally, the final will be held in India, while all Pakistan matches (except the one against India) and one semi-final will be played in Sri Lanka, as per the original co-hosting plan.
You guys didn't listen to me then but pls hear me now.
