Looking for the Pakistan hitting power in ODIs

Don't really need hitters down the order. These days, teams just play the best batsmen up front, and their worst down the order. You never see the best batsmen down the order playing at 6/7. Even Dhoni has stopped now, but he was more of a unique case being an excellent finisher and all.

Teams don't really carry any slow batsmen these days, they can all hit well. And a player who's played himself in is likely to be more successful hitting than the guy new to the crease.

where are those under 19 guys kamran ghulam and one more medium pacer and lower order hitter.

I think just the statement 'need hitters down the order' makes matters unequivocally clear - Pakistan simply do not have batsmen who can consistently clear the ropes. Even someone like Sharjeel, he's good at hitting 4s but he's very inconsistent in 6 hitting. Pakistan don't have batsmen with hitting ability at all, so the question that we should have hitters down the order doesn't arise IMO as such capability is needed across the entire batting order.

Sharjeel and Khalid Latif at the top to set the tone of the innings, they are not world class but neither does England or Indian openers.

Just good enough to set the intent and get the ball rolling.

Akmal is not an opener and likely to just complain
