Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti has blocked cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir on Twitter after a heated argument on the microblogging site. Mufti and Gambhir had a verbal spat over scrapping of Articles 370 and 35A of the Constitution which grants special status to the border state.

"Most welcome Mehbooba Mufti ma’am, happy to be blocked by a callous individual. By the way, at the time of writing this tweet, there are 1,365,386,456 Indians. How will you block them?" Gambhir, who joined the BJP recently, said in a tweet.

On Monday, the Delhi High Court admitted a plea seeking a direction to the Election Commission for banning former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Ministers Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti from the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Mufti immediately took to Twitter to blast the saffron party.

"Why waste time in court. Wait for BJP to scrap Article 370. It will automatically debar us from fighting elections since Indian constitution won’t be applicable to J&K anymore," she said in a tweet.

She added in Hindi: "Na samjhogay tho mit jaoge, aye Hindustan walo. Tumhari dastaan tak bhi na hogi dastaano mein (You will be erased if you do not understand people of India. Even your tales won't be written in the history)."

Gambhir responded to Mufti, saying, "This is India, not a blot like you that can be erased."

To this, Mufti responded: "Hope your political innings in BJP isn't as abysmal as your cricket career!"

Gambhir then tweeted: "You needed 10 hours to respond to my tweet and come up with such a pedestrian analogy!!! Too slow. It shows the lack of depth in your personality. No wonder you guys have struggled to solve the issues at hand."

Mufti then questioned the mental health of Gambhir. She tweeted, "I worry for your mental health, am used to people trolling but this level of stalking is unhealthy. I'd imagine most people sleep at night. Better (zip it) since you don't know anything about Kashmir. Here, blocking you now, so you can do the 2 rupee per tweet trolling somewhere else."

Later, Mufti criticised Gambhir separately saying cricketers should not make political comments.

"Cricketers should stick to playing cricket. Why wade into politics especially when it comes to issues like Kashmir? They have no knowledge about it. Take your aggression to the field, and once you're done, hang your boots with grace. Disgraceful," Mehbooba Mufti tweeted.

The BJP has been in favour of scrapping Article 370 and Article 35A in Jammu and Kashmir. Also, in its just released manifesto for the Lok Sabha election, the saffron party said that it will take steps to strengthen the armed force in the state and annul Articles 370 and 35A.

"We reiterate our position since the time of the Jan Sangh to the abrogation of Aicle 370. We are commied to annulling Article 35A of the Constitution of India as the provision is discriminatory against non-permanent residents and women of Jammu and Kashmir. We believe that Aicle 35A is an obstacle in the development of the state," the BJP's Sankalp Patra said.

Mufti, Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah have been warning the BJP and PM Modi against tinkering with Articles 35A and 370 saying it will end Kashmir's ties with the rest of India.

The former CMs had, however, welcomed the Congress party's manifesto promise to amend the AFSPA in Jammu and Kashmir and do away with the British-era sedition law.

Delusions of grandeur.

All hypocrites. Including this Mehbooba mufti.

When asked about the Kashmiri kids killed by army men in 2016, Mehbooba said, "Woh bache kya wahan toffee lene gaye the?" ("Did the kids go there to buy toffees?")

No matter what these Munafiqs say now, it wont undo their crimes. They are hand in glove with the occupying regime. We will never forget, we will never forgive.

People here in Kashmir obviously do not like Gambhir and Sehwag but we don't hate them,we hate people like Mehbooba Mufti,Sajad Lone,Farooq Abdullah and the list goes on and on.Mehbooba Mufti might have become a famous politician but alas she is born at a wrong time. She is such a fantastic liar but unfortunately for her all her lies are there to see on social media. She showed her true colours when she was the CM.

These are our real traitors. They sold our blood to the Indians.

Oops the thread seems to be backfired if you read views from jammu Kashmir residents

Shah Faesal is the kind of Kashmiri leader I like. What do the locals think of him?

Some think of him in high regard as a brilliant mind who wants to make a positive change.

Some think of him as an Indian agent who India planted ever since he ranked number 1 in IAS.

Some say he has been asked to create a new political front in Kashmir to divide the opinion of people further.

As long as people vote in elections, whether it is for shah faesal or any other leader, it is only India's position which gets stronger.
