Impressed with his knowledge and his tactical awareness so far especially considering he is not known as a commentator.

Liking his commentary, has good tactical insights (to be expected given he's our coach and has worked with the players) and doesn't state the obvious.

a very knowledgable guy u can tell hes a student of the game. Much better than Chakka Bazeeed cringefest Wilkins. Mel im a a token selection Jones and as an analyst miles better than Danny Morrison who of course has different qualities.

Yes very impressed with his Knowledge, is it possible for us to get him as Coach? Can someone find out if he is free?

When you watch him as a coach with the pakistani team, you want him dropped because of the results of the team. But then when you hear his views, you become doubled minded and think maybe he is doing it right, its the players.

Seems like he had found his calling...

Since I heard his first interview I've never wanted him dropped regardless of the results because his views are pretty much in sync with mine. It's not his fault if the players don't deliver.

Maybe hes not right for this pakistani cricket system.

Though our odi team has been scoring more runs under him as coach. Hope he could get the results that support his views

Hope Bazid Khan use this opportunity to tell the domestic performers who MA has to keep an eye on and bring them into the nets for the trial.. see if they can be added to the squad and improve Pak LOI performances hence add a feather to his coaching career...

He is doing the right things. Its just that in past few years the gap between Pakistan and other top teams has widened massively. It would need a lot of time to fill that gap.

Mixes it up with some humour, technical knowledge and no nonense.

Making some of the other commentators look like amateurs.

He is great, we are very lucky that we have him as our coach.

exactly... has an ocean of knowledge about cricket... good student of the game and bob woolmer.. wondering how and why BCCI didnt get him... if pak cant succeed under him then surely not possible with any other coach...

Makes the likes of Alan Wilkins look like fraudsters.

Meanwhile Rameez is total clueless. Mixes names and topped it with saying "Babar Azam had no Idea" when Zulfi was bowled.

Well this is what makes it fascinating. Here you have someone who is not a commentator making the guys who do it for a living look like clowns.

better commentator than coach. really havent been impressed with any of his strategies with KK for past 2 years and internationally he has been part of a team that makes major blunders. if players dont perform, thats one thing but to have no strategy whatsoever is baffling. gayle shud have been dropped after 3 games and batting lineup shuffled to utilize Ravi Bopara more(man of the tournament) last year.

Alot better than full-time "commentators"

hamari quom bohot jazbati hai. pakistan cricket can't be fixed overnight. you have to select a coach and leave him for 4-5 years, and judge him after that stint. but we are too narrow minded and expect instant results. hopefully now everyone has seen he has a smart cricketing brain, so let's get behind him and not call for his sacking after every poor performance. he needs time to work and make the positive changes required, especially in a corrupt and broken system like PCB

chalo saj ke ek thread se saare aagaye line pe.

I've always supported his wonderful approach as a coach and wan't him at least till the 2019 WC.

Micky has been doing things right, I think in the long term he will be good for us, we need to give him till 2019

We are absolutely 'nuts' as a cricket loving nation, we do know that we have a corrupt board, officials playing mind games and taking sides, players getting selected on contacts/past performances, lots of the players are unfit/overweight/non-athletic etc...then we bring an outsider as a coach, give him only so much power to really fix all the issues.

Demand a 180 degree turnaround in less than a year, way to go...the only way he can whip this team in some sort of order, shape, form and control is when he has a license to hand out 'Unlimited Chittrol' for anyone who does not listen to his suggestions to help improve the team. Else, firing him will only bring another helpless coach again!

If Mickey can fix the redundant chasing culture in our ODI circuit, it will be a feat unmatched, that was only temporarily fixed under Bob Woolmer..
