No need for someone who will give up more runs in the field than he will score. Aus, Eng, NZ players would target wherever he is fielding.

The squad hasn't been announced yet for wt20. I hope he isn't selected till he sorts out his fitness issues.

Butt, Bismillah, Shahzad contribute to spotless victory for Hawks over Tigers

Muzaffarabad: In the ongoing second edition of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL), the openers of the Rawalkot Hawks, Ahmad Shahzad and Bismillah Khan rolled over Muzaffarabad Tigers with an unbeaten stand of 155 runs, with Ahmad Shahzad stroked 55-ball 74 (five fours and four sixes) while Bismillah Khan hammered 68 off 51 deliveries with six fours and a couple of maximum.

The ten-wicket victory came about in 17.2 overs.

Earlier on Rawlakot’s invitation, Muzaffarabad Tigers accumulated 154 runs in 20 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed was the chief contributor with 33-ball 43 runs, while Anwar Ali played a good hand of 41 runs (34 balls).
Young Haseebullah Khan was also impressively chipped in with 37 runs off 25 balls.

The find of the last KPL season, right-arm pacer Zaman Khan bagged two wickets for 36 runs. Ammad Butt was economical, fetching a couple of wickets for 24 runs.

Ammad Butt was declared man of the match.
 
Royals batter Ali Imran charged for CoC violation

Mirpur Royals batter, Ali Imran has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee, for breaching the KPL Code of Conduct during his side’s match against Bagh Stallions on August 15th, 2022.

Ali Imran, was charged for disobeying an umpire's instructions during the mentioned match. The offence is a violation to the article 2.4 of the code of conduct and falls under Level-1 of breaches.

Ali Imran used inappropriate helmet and refused to change it when asked by Umpires during his innings for which he was charged 15% of his applicable match fee.

Ali Imran pleaded guilty and did not contest the charge levelled upon him.

Rain washed out Warriors, Lions encounter; points distributed evenly

Muzaffarabad: The second match of the day, of the the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) season two, between Overseas Warriors and Kotli Lion has been called off, before the coin-toss, due to heavy rain.

Both teams were given one point each.

The first match, tomorrow, will be played between Jammu Janbaz and Muzaffarabad Tigers.

While, Rawalkot Hawks and Bagh Stallions will face each other in the second encounter of the day.
 
Today’s match between Muzaffarabad Tigers and Jammu Janbaz have been called off due to intermittent rain and wet outfield.

KPL: Second match of the day washed out

Muzaffarabad: Unfortunate day for the Kingdom Valley Kashmir Premier League, season two, as the second match, between Rawlakot Hawks and Bagh Stallions, has also been washed out due to the wet outfield.

After multiple inspections, in different intervals, umpires declared the field not in the required condition to play.

Both teams have been allotted a point each.
 
Overseas Warriors beat Mirpur Royals by 15 runs

Mirpur Royals has suffered back to back defeats in the second edition of Kashmir Premier League, after losing to Overseas Warriors by 15 in their third game. At the Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium Shoaib Malik once again won the toss and elected to bowl first once more. Batting first Overseas Warriors scored 188 for the loss of 7 wickets, thanks to brilliant century by their skipper Asad Shafiq. He smashed the first century of this event, scoring 112 runs on 60 balls with sixteen fours and two sixes. Leg spinner Abrar Ahmed bowled superbly again, he picked 2 wickets for nine runs in four overs.

Chasing the stiff target of 189 runs, opener Hassan Nawaz gave Mirpur Royals a perfect start. He scored quick fired 56 runs on 30 ball. Captain Shoaib Malik got himself run out on seven runs. Haris Sohail with a half century and Mohammad Ikhlaq tried hard but fell short off the target. Mirpur Royals finished with 173 for 8 in 20 overs. Sohail Khan and Imran Randhawa took two wickets each. On a fantastic hundred, Asad Shafiq named player of the match.

Mirpur Royals will play their fourth league game against Rawalakot Hawks tomorrow.

Had no idea he was 17 but yeah I was about to mention how he looked. Quite impressed.

His stroke making looks pretty clean and aesthetically pleasing too. Needs to work on strike rotation but power is impressive.
 
Hassan Nawaz has looked really good hitting the ball clean and can play both sides of the wicket.

An emerging player, possibly 19-20 years of age I believe, there are couple of names similar on PCB website. Appears to have been coming to the system or back to it recently. Scored a solid 56 couple of matches ago as well. Plays shots but, rotates the strike well too.

4th highest run scorer in the tournament currently.

Hasan Nawaz looking like quite the talent.

Ali Imran struggling after a very good start. Personally a fan of him too in the T20 format.
 
Abrar is looking like pick of the bowlers from the tournament. Bowling in PP, getting wickets and keeping the economy low. Batters are having a tough time trying to pick him.
 
Love the strategy Malik has gone with here and its something that should be utilized more which is basically using all spinners in the powerplay.

A lot of teams are loaded up top with players that can play pace but not spin and it certainly showed in that powerplay.

Nice to see Haseebullah play really well. T20 likely won't be his go to format but he did flash some big hitting and is very young.
 
This Hasan Nawaz doesn't look like a usual tuller who can hit sixes. Looks a good prospect

Muhammad Shehzad looks pretty good too. Certainly feels like the way some of these younger batsmen bat in Nawaz/Shehzad/Qasim, it's a bit different than our previous upcoming batsmen and a lot power in these young players.

Kashif Ali is bowling well and looks decent pace wise. I believe he is that young bowler that did well in FC too. Good clean action and seems fairly tall too.

Right & left arm leg spinners are completely choking up the opposition. Abrar continues to impress.
 
Jammu Janbaz smother Bagh Stallions by four run

Muzaffarabad: In the 18th match of the Kingdom Valley Kashmir Premier League (KPL), season two, Jammu Janbaz came up with an unprecedented strategy to pin down Bagh Stallions.

Janbaz, after winning the coin-toss, bravely took the bat on. Sharjeel Khan, started off in his usual fashion, hammering all around the pitch to upped the scoring rate.

Even after Sahibzada Farhan’s dismissal, the southpaw did not held back his flair. Meanwhile, the new man, Shahzeb, also opened up his arms and Jammu Janbaz posted the record power-play score of the season, 71/1.

Sharjeel raced to his fifty off 23 deliveries. Jammu crossed the hundred-run mark in the ninth over, however soon their downfall started, first Sharjeel went packing after a brisk 66 off 31 balls (seven fours and five maximum). In the process Sharjeel Khan became the lone man to score 500+ runs in the KPL.

Sharjeel’s dismissal let the Bagh Stallions dominate the game to uproot wickets at regular intervals.

Jammu could reach 169, before getting bundled out in the last over. With 24 runs, Shahzeb was the other prominent batter for Janbaz.

Amer Jamal picked up three wickets for Stallions, Aamer Yameen chipped in with a couple.

Kamran Akmal, Bagh’s opener, started apace at reach 51 off 32 deliveries. Akmal stroked eight fours and a six in his innings.

Janbaz tightened the screws, over the game, a dismissed their opponents one by one. After 10, over Bagh were reeling at 80/4.

The Stallions’ sorry tale continued as they reach at a point to get 27 runs in the last two overs, with a couple of wickets in hand.

Fast bowler Najam Naseer Kiyani, pulled the reigns further with his third wicket, to limit Stallions to get 14 runs in the final over.

Jammu Janbaz won the match by four runs.

Najam Naseer Kiyani was the bowler with figures of 3-41 in four overs.

Hassan nawaz is a player that is Pakistani but bats like Hales with those long levers. Awesome clean hitting
 
Mirpur royally fix Tigers to gain playoff slot

Muzaffarabad: In their last game, of the group stage, of the Kingdom Valley Kashmir Premier League (KPL), season two, Mirpur Royals came down hard on Muzaffarabad Tigers to regain the top position on points’ table.


Sluggish start by Muzaffarabad Tigers, while batting first, on the invitation of Mirpur Royals. Their first wicket fell on 14 and afterwards Mirpur Royals were all over their rivals. Half the side of Tigers were sent back to the hut on a meagre 48 in 12 over.

Taimoor Shah (16), Haseebullah (10) and Captain Mohammed Hafeez (7) were the top scorers till then.

Anwar Ali entered the park and changed the complexion of the game. The Pakistan international, hit fearlessly around the wicket. The Tigers took 17 overs to surpass the 100-run mark.

In a bid to further up the tempo Anwar Ali, got out on 44 (29), including three fours and two maximum.

Muzaffarabad Tigers finished up at 135/8 in 20 overs.

Right-arm paceman Shadab Majeed bowled brilliantly for his two wickets at the cost of 13 runs in three overs. Imad Wasim was also impressive with two scalps for 14 runs.

Mirpur Royals began in style as their openers rapidly escorted the team score to 50 in 3.3 overs.

Hasan Nawaz the aggressor got bowled by Arshad Iqbal on the very next delivery. Nawaz amassed a quick 41 off 16 balls, decorated with four sixes and as many fours.

Two quick wickets pulled back Royals a bit but Muhammad Akhlaq and skipper Shoaib Malik stabilise the situation.

Malik got out on 114 runs in 12th over. He accumulated 17 runs.
Akhlaq later scored a half century.

Later Mirpur Royals overhauled the target with six wickets to spare.

Shadab Majeed was chosen the player of the match.

With this triumph, Royals, with eight points, have qualified for the play-off stage.
 
Bagh Stallions have won the match by 15 runs (DLS method) and qualified for the Play Offs
