Yep, you read it right!!
Below are some of the traits and try to co-relate this with your experience working with your superiors :
1) Wins and Successes are mine , Losses are because of COVID or previous regime.. Ex : After SL series loss in 2019... his statement.. We were losing a lot, so this is nothing new
2) Favorites gets unlimited chances. Ex : Asif Ali, Ifti Chacha
3) Fill the system with friends . Ex : Making Azhar Ali captain (knowing he failed before.) In fact, his captaincy became so poor that reluctantly Misbah had to do agree with changing him..
4) Frustrate WHO tries to correct you or debate with your poor decisions. Ex: Imad Wasim, other players
5) Takes credit for some ones hard work . Ex : Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman
6) Be in good understanding with higher ups, at the expense of ruining the system or the team
7) Always justify your position.. And save yourself and your superiors, instead of acknowledging your shortcomings or poor decisions
8) Those who don't agree, throw them under the bus . Ex : Sarfaraz, Imad, etc.
9) Blame someone who is not even available. Ex : Consistent criticism of Amir teven though he was not playing test matches.. All the test match losses in Australia is because Amir took retirement... Instead of accepting he just almost destroyed the career of inexperienced bowlers by playing them in Australia
10) Select friends for easy tasks and inexperienced youngsters for tough tours
Alot of the stuff you're saying here is hearsay and its disingenuous to attribute that to Misbah just because you don't like him. Other stuff you're saying here is either only partly true or not true at all.
2) Favorites gets unlimited chances. Ex : Asif Ali, Ifti Chacha
Asif Ali, yes. Iftikhar not so much. He may be a favorite but if you bother to look up Iftikhar's numbers you will find out that he has been one of the best and most consistent performers in Domestic List A: 2016 onwards. And he hasn't even gotten enough chances that he has frankly, earned.
3) Fill the system with friends . Ex : Making Azhar Ali captain (knowing he failed before.) In fact, his captaincy became so poor that reluctantly Misbah had to do agree with changing him..
Pretty ignorant statement. Azhar Ali has been one of the few consistent performers for Pakistan in Test cricket during the last decade. He may not go down in history as an ATG but nobody can deny what he has achieved for Pakistan; including a triple century, that golden 2016 run, his role in Pakistan's rise to No.1 in the test rankings or the fact that he is Pakistan's fifth leading run-scorer of all-time.
4) Frustrate WHO tries to correct you or debate with your poor decisions. Ex: Imad Wasim, other players
You're passing your opinion coupled with unsubstantiated hearsay, you heard somewhere as a cold hard fact.
6) Be in good understanding with higher ups, at the expense of ruining the system or the team
Same as above. Unless you know the guy personally, this is like shooting an arrow in the wind. And explain to me how he ruined a system that was already ruined for decades and one that he barely had anything to do with. I can understand your opinion on him ruining the team but the PCB revamped the system and made him chief-selector/coach. I'm sure he has influence but its quite stretch to insinuate that Misbah is some sort of a mastermind who is responsible for all the chips falling in his favor
7) Always justify your position.. And save yourself and your superiors, instead of acknowledging your shortcomings or poor decisions
Can you name any other coach who would not confidently defend their decisions? Also, I don't think you watch press confrences in their entirety because Misbah and Babar, like any other captain-coach combo acknowledge the things that go wrong in a match, post-match. If you are expecting Misbah to come out and say "sorry, I was wrong" than you have some very unrealistic expectations. No coach in the world would do that.
As far as the higher ups part goes, the board is perfectly well-aware of how Misbah is doing. They can see it just like anyone else. If they wanted to fire what makes you think they wouldn't?
8) Those who don't agree, throw them under the bus . Ex : Sarfaraz, Imad, etc.
Sarfraz has been in horrific form since long before Misbah came on-board. He sunk Pakistan's unbeaten run in UAE as captain and barely ever performed with the bat once he became captain. Attributing that to Misbah is quite ludicrous since Safraz should have been gone long before Misbah came in. If there's anything Misbah needs to be blamed for its still keeping him in the squad.
As for Imad Wasim, its fairly obvious that Mohammad Wasim has a problem with him. Misbah selected him in every series when he was chief-selector so don't get where you've created this rift between Misbah and Imad.
9) Blame someone who is not even available. Ex : Consistent criticism of Amir teven though he was not playing test matches.. All the test match losses in Australia is because Amir took retirement... Instead of accepting he just almost destroyed the career of inexperienced bowlers by playing them in Australia
So you're saying Amir retiring just before the tour of Australia when Pakistan needed him most didn't hurt Pakistan at all? Who do you think Pakistan could have selected for that tour with Wahab and Amir retired and Hasan Ali out injured? Misbah made a bad decision selecting youngsters but its not like he was spoilt for options. He made his frustration on Amir and Wahab clear and if I was in his place I would have been frustrated too.
And if there's any sympathy one could have had for Amir there isn't any left after the repeated toxic comments he has made about Misbah and Waqar. Name one player who has openly made these kind of comments about an incumbent coach? It's simply not done and just goes to show what a characterless person Amir is.
He's not interested in playing any domestic cricket, will play all the T20, T10 leagues and expects to simply walk into the playing eleven?
