World 10,000m champion Mo Farah has been voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2017.

The 34-year-old was presented the award on video link by daughter Rhianna.

Farah won his third successive world 10,000m gold medal in London in August, despite almost falling twice late in the race.

He becomes the first long-distance runner to win the Sports Personality award since Paula Radcliffe in 2002.

World Superbike champion Jonathan Rea was second and two-time Paralaympic champion Jonnie Peacock third.

Well deserved outstanding!

It would have been a travesty if Joshua won it. Zero personality, use to sell drugs, loves to be a racist, question marks on him possibly juicing, continues to be sponsored by stub hub who are being investigated by the government for exploiting their customers and worst of all he's rubbish at boxing, nothing more then a stiff weight lifter who walks in straight lines like a mummy waiting to be mauled from genesis all the way to revelations by fighter's more skillful. If we ignore the personality aspect and this SPOTY is given based on performance, Joshua still doesn't deserve a nomination; he beat a Wladmir who was 41+, inactive for years and coming off a defeat to Tyson Fury. If Fury couldn't win for his bigger and better win AJ should not have been anywhere in this list.

Mo on the other hand had an incredible year! stormed to his third consecutive world 10,000m gold despite almost falling twice late in the race in London in August. Then won 5,000m silver at the Worlds, missing out on a fifth major championships distance double in a row. Won the final track race of his career over the same distance at a Diamond League event in Zurich.

A shame Lewis Hamilton didn't make the top 3 at the very least, I hoped for him to win but delighted for Sir Mo Farah :)

Joshua has no personality to win a personality award.

Congratulations to Mohammed Farah. As a young man he came to England and he has repaid the nations 10X over. A super talent who is arguably the great athlete Britian has ever produced. He has conducted himself so well, he should be an inspiration to all.
