Mohammad Abbas bowling for SNGPL versus WAPDA in the QEA Trophy:

1st innings 15.5-6-42-6
2nd innings 30.2-9-52-6

He's also reached the landmark of 400 wickets in First-class cricket in his 86th match. Strike-rate of 42.5 and at an average of 19.48.

Good news.

However, we all know the condition of domestic pitches. People take wickets for fun.

That's why nobody takes domestic stats seriously.

However, Abbas is so far a proven success at international level. So he is quality. And his international stats should be looked at.

Which are also excellent.

He has a bright future ahead , In sha Allah . Just needs to keep fit , have proper diet .

Shows how hard he worked in domestic cricket to get his call up. What an impact he has made to test cricket.

What was the point of saying two completely at odds things? I don't get some posters here, why bring negativity in to everything and anything just to sound knowledgeable or something?

We do have Mr. Gloom and Doom for Pak (in everything) here on PP for that, why do rest of the postersl need to act the same way as well?

This guy has peaked way way too early in his career. My only fear is that he doesnt get injured bowling a million overs in county cricket.
The countys use you to the max

I think you nailed it.. its because almost everyone wants to be an expert. If its not the pitches, they blame him for peaking too early .. we should really call this negative nancies forum or debbie downers inc or something..

Her kissi ko koi na koi qeera tung kerta rehta hai.. hhahaha

Life isn't all sunshine and roses, you have to be realistic.

He is not wrong that the state of our pitches is abysmal where uncles like Aizaz Cheema wreak havoc.

I can also argue about the plethora of overly optimistic, deluded, and biased fans on here that go out of the way in support of characters like Hafeez and his chucking. So I have come to respect the posters who balance it out by being realistic and neutral.

Hmm, so stating the facts (where I also praised Abbas) is negativity?

Cool story bro. :najam

How about just saying well done Abbass especially since he has already demonstrated he some world class skills? Why focus on what others are saying, do we always have to say something based on what others are saying?

You know exactly what I meant (no disrespect was intended) but decided to ignore the main message...if this is how you want to perceived, so be it. I am happy for you.

How many bowlers have a stat of under 20 in Pak domestic cricket? Let's not belittle the domestic performance of the number 1 test bowler in the world.

Not him but his domestic performance by implying his 400 wickets are the result of poor pitches prepared in Pakistan.

Not belittling Abbas.

I'm just saying domestic stats usually do not indicate anything conclusively. Once a bowler debuts, we should look at international stats only. And Abbas is very good there.

Hoping he would end up with the same or more wickets tally is tests as well. would go a long way in making Pakistan a force in test cricket.

As consistent as ever bowling against New Zealand
