Add to it, if you do micro analysis on each and every thing we will find faults in everyone. Yesterday you were bashing him left right and center how he shoud bowl spinners (when Wahab and Abbas were bowling) but then his change worked and Abbas got a wicket due to reverse swing. Similarly in past whenever some runs are scored against our bowling you start attacking him but then his changes work and you go into a shell. This happenes with all of us but we should not take it personally.

I am not criticizing you, May be you are thinking in a different way. I also do sometimes too like right now i think Haris should get a few overs but if we already make up our mind in bashing someone before the start, we will find faults in everyone especially in captaincy because it is ball by ball, over by over, and session by session.

I hope you dont take my posts personally:)

87 strikes for AUS - how many times have they lost a wicket on 87!!!! They have made it almost like a mental barrier.

What did I say? Identical to yesterday when Abbas got Finch and started the collapse...hoping for the same...
 
Abbas, definitely among the top 3-5 pacers in tests right now. Definitely deserves a go in ODIs

Have you seen his Captaincy against BD from 12/3? He is doing exactly same - difference is, here he is playing against an AUS side incapable of putting slightest of resistance - lost 10 for 62.

Yesterday, I never criticized for bringing pacers with 48 overs old ball - that's one major part of the tactics in UAE. Even today, PAK started with Abbas & Wahab after break & Abbas did get an LBW.

The best one was the test vs England. Sarfaraz brought on Shadab against Stokes immediately and he wrote a lengthy post saying why this was poor captaincy and showed Sarfaraz was clueless.

Guess what happened? Shadab got Stokes out immediately...
 
Sarfaraz’s bowling changes are pretty decent but he needs to work on his field settings in tests as well as ODIs. Getting Finch in the first innings that way was a master stroke though

Geez! This guy is just that damn good. Abbas - 48 wickets at 16.5 in his short career. And all at 130 kph. Keeps it simple and gets the job done. The best of his kind in test cricket today.
 
If Australian batsmen had any sense they would just blunt the ball and frustrate Pakistan as much as possible and take the game as deep as they can. These guys simply don't have the ability to put a price on their wickets and spend time at the crease.
 
Great referral from skipper, in spite of Abbas's hesitation.
 
Abbas is such a smart bowler. Once he gets the slightest bit of movement he is a handful. His control of reverse swing is brilliant.
 
No wickets, but this has been good from Wahab.
 
Sialkot city (Abbas & Asif) has taken all the 13 AUS wickets as of now.

Besides the openers, australia has to completely revamp their batting order. It is absolutely pathetic how the rest of the australian batsmen play. I knew since the beginning that australia had no chance with such a weak batting unit. If this selection continues, then australia will be as weak as the windies.

A hammering from india in december is inevitable, unless they call back renshaw, handscomb, maxwell, they should also try out batsmen like kurtis patterson.

Also, a spinner like mitch swepson might have been useful on this pitch.

As for pakistan, I am really excited about abbas, he will be in the top 3 rankings after the south africa tour. taking 7 wickets on a uae pitch is no joke .
 
I really Yasir is nearing the end of his career. He has been easily negated in this match and hardly looks a threat

Really disappointed with Yasir!!!! Struggling to take a wicket in 4th day last session.

Even Better imo.
Both line and length bowlers, good with new ball & move the ball both ways, and have the quality of picking wickets with reverse swing. Sadaf is damn good at nailing yorkers too and slightly taller than Abbas.

What a shame. Instead of rooting for a messiah to return we should have given the domestic top performers some chances. Can't change the past but in the future let's take domestic performances a bit more seriously.
 
Wahab bowled well as well...he kept it tight which allowed the wickets to fall at the other end

To be honest, a bit worried going into final day. Not that Aus can chase this but can we take 7 wickets? Yasir hasn’t taken a single wicket, Wahab doesn’t look like taking one and Aus seem to be playing Bilal Asif much better this time around.
 
Australian's were always going to prepare and do their homework against Yasir. Khawaja has clearly unsettled Yasir with his flawless reverse sweeps. Why doesn't Yasir bowl over the wicket to the left handers?

He could also be helped by the captain giving him close in catchers
 
I hope he proves me wrong but I wrote a year and a half ago that Yasir Shah was not the same bowler compared to when he first arrived on the scene. He’s missing the bounce and drift he used to obtain. He has become a bowler reliant on sliders and minimal turning leg-breaks for LBW’s and bowled.

This is the first time he has failed to pick up a single wicket in the UAE so far and his recent domestic record is unimpressive to say the least.

Abbas is usually very good at picking up an early wicket in the beginning of the day so I hope to see him get a well-deserved five-fer’.

On a side note, Haris’ spin should really be used more.

Yes Haris looked very threatening. Not sure about Yasir. We need him for at least another 3 years. Hopefully finds form tomorrow.
 
Abbas was excellent once sgain. very dissapointed in how yasir has bowled in this match so far, but hope he comes good on day 5.

Asif's worst record was in Pakistan and best in SriLanka. So its tough to say whether he was good or poor in Asia.

I haven't been able to watch the match what exactly did he do with Finch even the cricinfo commentary on the wicket hyped the tactics

Abbas was getting a bit reverse and Finch was standing outside, trying to play everything as drive on front foot to counter the LBW threat. Sarfraz put his best catcher at silly mid-on, and kept 2 men on line behind umpire, to cover major damage from anything drifting down the leg. Ball was coming in late on leg line, but not short enough to play horizontal bat shots, and it cramped his off side scoring areas - Finch resisted for sometimes, for 2-3 tight overs, but eventually went for a forcing on-drive, using too much of bottom hand, gaving a sharp low catch to Asad at 10-12 metres in front, and standing almost on the edge of the wicket.
