he needs to improve hit fitness. This was a major final and he went all guns blazing. His optimum speed is close to 145 kmph its at this pace when he gets most zip of the pitch and late movement but he can only reach these speeds with better fitness at mid 130's his effectivness is not even 50% He still has potential to be the best fast bowler in the world barring Steyn no one could have done this to India on this pitch it was champions stuff.

He has potential to be better then Starc as he bowls better lengths but he needs to be fitter so he can continuously run in hit the deck and trouble the batsman Pre ban Amir was capable of doing this regularly.:amir3

Pre-ban Amir should be forgotten about. He is a better bowler now than he has ever been.

His fitness is fine, and I'm sure Mickey and co. are going to be working on continually improving it

He is as good as, if not better than, then bowler he was before the ban.

He carried more hype as a young whipper-snapper pre-ban; he's had very few poor performances since his return. He could attack a little more, sure, but he could also have done with a bit of luck too.

It's short-sighted to suggest that he has lost his movement/swing - which bowler has shown consistent movement in recent times? I have watched practically every series since his return and the Bhuvi's, Broad's, Anderson's of the opposition weren't bowling bananas either. When other bowlers move it, so does he. When other bowlers struggle to move it, he still manages to get some slight shape as shown in the knockout games, where he was getting the ball to come back in to the left-handers.

Look at the set-up of Rohit yesterday - 2 across, one back in - and got him where he's had him before. Or the slight deviation to catch of Kohli's bat.

The only area in which pre-ban Amir was better was in terms of pace. In all other areas, he is a better bowler now.
