I don't know what people see in this guy. He just comes and bowls the same delivery over and over again. In 3 years he hasn't learned one new variation and then we have PP legundzzzz who want him in the test squad.

Please discuss! Maybe I am not seeing the tailunt that everyone else does :inti

He is mediocre. zafar gohar is way much better.Zafar gofar should have been given a chance.

I would always prefer spin all rounders for limited overs cricket, in the modern era. The problem is, if Asghar gets smashed, then he can't make up for it in the batting, as in the modern era the scores are big, so an extended batting line up is a must, which means a spinner should be able to bat as well. Although, he can be a decent choice for the longer format.

Dude he has no variations at all. How is he gonna take any wickets in tests? The batsmen won't need to take risks so how is this guy gonna get wickets.

He literally bowls the same delivery repeatedly occasionally altering the length.

He can turn the ball well, has the delivery which drifts in to the right handers, on turning tracks he will be useful for sure. In Test cricket, batsmen aren't attacking you most of the times, so he can be decent there.

When I watch him I see him as more of a 4 or 5-day bowler rather than the limited-overs formats.

Has been phenomenal in Pakistani First Class bamboozling players like Younus Khan, Kamran Akmal in an over.

Yes agreed more like test material.

He seems intelligent while bowling, getting hit and pitching in wrong areas but there is something in him which makes me believe he is a good bowler.

He has performed extremely well in PSL 1 and 2. It was a travesty he did not play in the SL Test series.
Watto was dropped of his first ball today and than smacked him into oblivion. I agree he lacks variation but like Y. Shah, he can put the ball in the same spot on the same line & length all day long. That is exactly what a test spinner does. He should replace Yasir but he needs to improve his batting exponentially. Guy is a great fielder too but he needs to work on his overall game.

He is an excellent prospect for the Test team. We have not seen the best of him in PSL as he is not really a T20 bowler. I agree with the above poster - he should have played against SL.

Also great to see a cricketer from Baluchistan close to winning national honours.

Haven't seen too much of him overall, but saw him in today's game. I think the commentators said something like he's second in being hit for sixes (somewhere in the high twenties) in all of PSL. If he somehow makes the test team, then I just pray that he'll unleash his inner Herath.

He's performed in 2/3 PSL tournaments.

2016: 11 Wickets at 18.45 AVG
2017: 8 Wickets at 18.12 AVG

Probably going through a rough patch.

Yes and Anwar Ali highest having conceded 30 sixes.
Couldn't believe Sarfaraz gave him bowl instead of Nawaz
