Mohammad Hafeez as a finisher?

You can't be more wrong than the 2 bold sections. Being finisher needs nerve, mental toughness, self-less attitude and above all capability ........

It was never, never ego - it was brain. He is among very few Pakistani across globe benefiting from 3/9 incidence. That allowed him piling up soft runs from top 3 on Asian grounds against substandard teams & his bowling (if you call so), kept him as all-rounder away. It was, deliberate & calculative move which stacked up the numbers. That 57* is fooling every one -

This is his entire career at 4, 5, 6 & 7

Take out that 57* (At 5), it'll be even more worthy looking - then let's discuss about finisher. And this is over all, not when chasing .....................

Wow.

He really has fooled the nation

Could have had a good career for Pakistan as a finisher. Unfortunately his ego made him bat in the top order.

Have heard a lot of people say that about him including some experts on TV shows.I myself was of the opinion that he should play at 6 but some of my friends have told me that it's not possible.

Hafeez is the Best No.6 we Have in ODI's

Oh ! Please Don't get me Wrong. I do share the Rudimentary Outgrage
and the temptation of the outburst but Folk's I have my Binoculars
on and Far Away from the Heat and Dust of Dessert that Pakistan LOI
cricket is I was desperately searching for something to cheer my dry
humor.

I always held this belief that Mr. Blessed with all Facet (except :shhh)
should play at No.6 when the ball and bowlers are not fresh and new
He has all the shots in the world and with Pakistan Desperately searching for Someone to Provide that Boeing Thrust at the Fag end of the inning Mr. Hafeez looks to be the best bat.

First in ICC Champion Trophy and than Today, he has proved me so
right.

That's about the only Positive I could pick from the Wreck..

Pakistani batsmen are pros at making career saving 55s when their spots are on the line.

Hafeez-Malik may play the role of Dhoni-Yuvraj. They will be responsible to
- increase run rate when top order plays well
- anchor the innings when top order collapses.

This will also mean that Babar play at #3, Haris at #4 and Sarfraz at #5

M.Hafeez (the ALL-ROUNDER) can actually help us alot in next WC if he pushes himself down the order at #6 or 7 (and if Malik is somehow asked to leave this ODI side for good). He played some good attacking shots at the end today, plus his 50 @CT in last overs was also special. We will surely take a 40(25) and 1-50(10) Hafeez anyday.

MOHAMMAD HAFEEZ whether he bowls or not should bat at 6 because we all know he is undroppable.

His bowling was the reason he was in the Pakistan team. Now that his bowling has been banned, he no longer warrants a place in the ODI team. He coming at No.6 isn't the right solution either. Faheem is a player we should look at to come in at No.6 as he has more attacking prowess to Hafeez, who's only gonna be playing for himself.

Could Hafeez have won the games had he been in Malik's position in the last 2 t20s?

A couple of months back, most of us were praying for Hafeez to go for good but here he is again. Probably the only player with the ability to finish games against spin and fast alike.

Maybe. But it’s a choice of the one eyed king in the land of the blind

Hafeez has only one in the team, bat after the 25th over and he will deliver 8 out of 10 times. he looks really good against the old ball and should not be wasted at number 4. hafeez is the only player who can play freely against pace and spin and I back him to be a better finisher than malik at this point or any other player. unfortunately the management wants to keep him at number 4, which is a big waste

Hafeez could have made a bigger impact than Shaoib. That's for sure.

Mailks dismissal in both innings was on punishable balls. I would back Hafeez to clear the fence on both occasions.
Imad's dismissal and talats to more extent was baffling as they played around full half volleys asking to be spanked down the ground.
