Always backed him, and THIS is why I modelled my batting after him.

Great to watch when he gets going, and this is why I would still keep him in contention for the ODI squad (though I wouldn't name him in the actual squad).

Despite today's knock, he shouldn't play Tests or T20Is ever again, though.

But great to see him finally do well under-pressure.

Now that technique is not as important in LOIs, we can see Hafeez dominate as an opener. Yes, he got nicked by Hazlewood, but Warner got snicked by Amir. Hafeez's strike rate is no longer an issue and expect more blistering starts from him.

Hafeez is still a boss against spinners. If quetta had one more pacer, I doubt hafeez would've ended up with such a high strike rate.

Pathetic player. Doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the team at 37. Even Sanga and Mahela continue to perform, that does not mean they should be in the national team. Afridi, of ALL people made the mature decision to call it a day.

He is a bits and pieces player. A once in a blue moon knock on a flat Sharjah highway against a low quality attack shouldn't merit him a place in the side after an abysmal tournament.

Fact is that Sarfraz don't have classy strokes in his artery but still he plays pacers much better then M Hafeez and doesn't bat like a tail ender against moving ball.
