You are conflating two seperate issues.
Muslim men can marry Christian women...Muslim women are not legally allowed to marry Christian men.
You can use your head to work out the reasons why and then you can understand why muslims find it impermissible to put up trees etc.
Next you guys will be wearing chains with the cross and eating pork but saying its ok because mUsLims CaN mArRy cHriStiAns.
Its the similar logic to that which lgbtq etc use to normalise their beliefs.
Ultimately you guys can do what you like, just admit you want to celebrate Christmas, and man up and own your beliefs...but dont try and make strawman evidence.

Indeed, Salah is a great role model for Muslims, with or without a Xmas tree. I knew this as soon as he came to Liverpool because I remember that interview when he called on men in his country and across the Muslim world to treat women with more respect.
But Ali Dawah and co won't tell you that because it doesn't fit their narrative.

I almost certainly know more about it no doubt. And yes if wresting is sunnah then other aspects of martial arts are certainly fine since conceptually it’s the same. You are not hurting for sake of hurting. It’s part of a sport.

Rashford seems a good chap but cant compare to Mo and esp not in football. He should spend more of his time in training as he has not fulfilled his potential. He will never be an ATG player.

ATG players are very few and far between. Rashford wasn't be an ATG, but neither will Salah. Maybe Salah will be a Liverpool great, as he helped you win your first league title in thirty years.

I am also in awe of how certain footballers like CR7, have an O-type blood group, which means they can donate to any blood group, but can only accept O group. As a result, no Tattoos, because anyone with a tattoo, cannot donate blood.

What you and your brother do behind closed doors is your business. If you want to take part in Christmas, good for you I hope it makes you happy. To me its dumb but I understand people have different ways of finding fulfilment.
However when people deliberate bring something into the public domain and frame it as acceptable, then equally people have the right to express their feelings that it isn't acceptable.
Many non-muslims like to (either deliberately or unknowlingly) use other muslims as an example. Your brothers kids friends will refer to them when they ask their other muslim friends when they don't celebrate Christmas, Salahs non-muslim followers will refer to Salah as an example.
It's therefore important to many of us that our values, traditions and cultures are protected and we speak out against these celebrations.

Christmas isn't really a religious celebration in the western world, surely you must know this. It's just a general holiday where people get to put up some lights and give presents and enjoy themselves for a week. Putting up a fake tree and hanging some lights on it won't turn you into a Christian. Lighten up.

You can be blasé about most actions and dismiss them as unimportant and not having an impact.
The fact is as a Muslim there are clear guidelines as to what is or isn't acceptable.
Now, let me be very clear each individual can choose to do what he wants, if they want to put up a tree and all that then that's their decision but what they can't and won't be allowed to do is claim it is acceptable within Islam.

Spot on. These Dawah type characters like Ali or Eddie from the Deen show are too much influenced by the Saudi puppet version of Islam which is as literal as it gets. These people still roll up their trousers walking around in freezing cold because they fail to understand a simple hadith.

A few points
1) I don't have any qualifications but that's such an unusual stance, I take information on issues from scholars. I presume you do the same, ask them about celebrating Christmas
2) I get you are a Liverpool fan and you rightly love Salah. I think he's a class player but you don't have to defend his actions as a result
3) If you think partaking in actions that are clearly part of Christmas celebrations is acceptable then not sure what form of Islam you are following

I simply ask, based on the scholars you trust and take information/guidance on I can see either confidence they won't support such actions.

I don't celebrate Christmas myself but it's the intolerance and this fake self righteousness from the anti-Christmas gang that is the issue.
They have no problems with Muslim men marrying Christian Women but get alarmed over a Muslim who celebrates Christmas

You've just generalised that a group of people (the "anti-christmas gang") also have no problem with Muslim men marrying Christian women.
A couple of points why it's nonsensical
1) One thing being unacceptable doesn't mean another thing can't be acceptable. It's an absurd link. Like suggesting people who say Muslims shouldn't celebrate Christmas will also say you should only eat Halal meat. Ridiculous and irrelevant link
2) Unless you can pinpoint someone that holds both positions then raising it is pointless. If you can do that then you need to direct it to that individual.

1. Im not the one giving verdicts about others.
2. I see nothing wrong with it even if Salah played for Newcastle.
3. I dont take part but I wish merry Xmas and give gifts to my neighours esp the elderly. You never wished anyone Merry Xmas? Or accepted or given a Xmas gift?
