Mohammad Shami loses his cool when Pakistan fan mocks Team India with ‘baap kaun hai’ chants

Fans are what they are, you can't expect them to shower you with garlands when their team won over their rivals. If you don't like to be served with invectives then play hard and win next time.

Y'all are idiots. There is nothing wrong in what they did. NOTHING.

WHO'S YA DADDY? WHO'S YA DADDY? WHO'S YA DADDY?

Yankees fans did it to Red Sox players back in 2003. No one complained.

Football and Cricket are not same, Apple and Oranges. Cricket is gentlemen's game and football is for aggressive fans !

Be humble in victory lads. No need to become like they do.

I didn't see any offensive comment from current Indian players, so it's unfair to dish it out at them after the match and that too in their faces. It just doesn't sound good to me, if fans want to give it back to India, it should be on twitter account of Sehwag and Rishi Kapoor.
So "Who is your father" does not taunt any one. Names of current Indian playhers were not mentioned. Why Shami has to get alarmed?

or maybe he took it personal bcoz of some other reason?

As I mentioned previously, his frustrations of being given a game should be taken up with his coach and captain. Fighting with a fan isn't going to get him any closer to playing international cricket again.

How can you be sure that Shami was angry for not being in the eleven, may be Shami the person more aggressive than others, we can't be certain.

Similarly Sehwag and Rishi Kapoor won't represent 1.3 billion Indians ! #SameLogic

Sunshine it's not the same logic.

Rishi Kapoor and Sehwag are powerhouse celebrities in India. They have millions of twitter followers alone.

They have a responsibility to behave maturely in front of their fans but they didn't. They used some pathetic language like we are your baap. It might be light hearted banter to them but how do you think younger Fans from both isles will interpret this ??
That's why Shoaib rightfully put Sehwag down for that in a very recent video in front of his face.

So they started this but that doesn't mean it's ok for Pakistan fans to respond in this manner. In any case It's only a minority that did.

saw the video and gotta say Shami lived up to the expectations of being timid..While he did find some courage to turn around and question the fan who was shouting "baap kaun hai" he was extremely nonthreatening and told the security manager that the fan was 'swearing' at him. LOL. Such a soft bunch these Indian players and fans are.

You wanted him to go and break his arm?

You wanted him to go and break his arm?

no, but it was a very muted response from him. Would have been better off by not giving any...and not complaining to the security manager with a made up complaint..

RIP to his father.. But come on what can shami possibly do to anyone? Give it a rest. India was the pioneer of hostilities between the two teams, got served all round that too with interest. Classic case of 'you've been served'. 😂😂😂

In which realm is Shami tough? please enlighten us... LOL. See in Europe slap frenzies don't win you fights, might work in India.. Where the average person couldn't bench 100lbs to save his life. Shami should have just ignored him, as the rest did.

honestly, anything and everything is fair game from the Pakistan side this time around. A recent Twitter warrior was questioning Azhar Ali if he was going to send his kids to terrorist school...Idc about generalizing an entire nation on the acts of few... but entire India has seriously stooped to a new low...this is the reason why you'll see their fans, celebrities, politicians, businessmen all question regular Pakistanis on terrorism. They down right are pathetic and deserve every little crap thrown at them. Bunch of overrated, chest-thumping, stooges who were slapped back to Earth, and then some.

I share your sentiments. I don't think Pakistanis would have ever started such antics. Honestly speaking, I had a better view of India; all of which has shattered now, merely a 'wolf in a sheep's clothing'. This 'innocent duck routine' they've suddenly adopted isn't washing anymore.

It was like the fan was targeting shami he kept on saying it louder and louder

Sehwag should make an apology over his comment if he is a man thereby ending this debate. He just has to say sorry for offending Pakistanis and Indians who have suffered as a result of it, that's all. Then again as I said he even mocks his own dead soldiers as well. Recently he applied for the position of the next Indian coach by sending two lines of "former Indian opener" or something like that. The man is incredibly stupid and immature for his age.

How can you be sure that Shami was angry for not being in the eleven, may be Shami the person more aggressive than others, we can't be certain.

Then the Indian team management/BCCI should refer him to a psychiatrist. That kind of a personality can be disruptive to the team spirit. Explains why he wasn't given a game.

People need to realise who started it!! That Baap kon Baap kon by sehwag was the main catalyst and then other Indians were so proud and that resulted in this :aag

You always get stupid fans on both sides; they are the minority. But did you see the Pk and Indian fans dancing together outside the ground and those guys singing together on the London underground train.

Stupid comments made by Sehwag; he has lost all respect. The players do not deserve to be on the receiving end. As far as I know majority of players in both teams are true gentlemen off the field. Kohli may be an arrogant and aggressive player on the field, he is know to be a real gentleman off the field.

It was not just Sehwag and Rishi Kapoor.

Indian media made songs like "mauka mauka" and also a recent one "Sarfaraz Sarfaraz rona nahi match haar ke" LMAO

They deserve to be taunted back in whichever way possible.

Heard that guy got punched and beaten by Indian Fans outside the stadium, I think he was also messing with few of the fans.

Their are jerks on both sides of border and beside why would you blame them for asking question regarding terrorism, how many of you know that afridi's relative was killed in an encounter here, Malik apologising to Muslim's for defeat in the final 2007,or do you believe that kasab was not a Pakistani and Mumbai attacks or any other attack didn't happened, but their is no point digging past, all I am saying is that jerks are their on both sides and one has to live with it and move on.

London: Tensions are always running high in a match between India and Pakistan. With the both the countries embroiled in political feud over their borders, the fans often tend to express these tensions in and around the matches.

This is exactly what happened after the 2017 Champions Trophy final between the two arch-rivals, when the two sets of fans came face to face against each other on the streets of London.

While a large gathering of fans crowded a particular street in the British capital, the tensions boiled over, as two fans got into a scuffle.

A local police, who was present at the scene, soon stepped in to intervene.

In another incident, the Indian and Pakistani fans were seen hurling objects at each other from either ends of a street.

Earlier, a video of a Pakistan fan mocking the Indian cricketers who were returning to their dressing room after suffering a heavy defeat at the hands of Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final at The Oval on Sunday, went viral.

The fan in question even managed to rile-up Mohammed Shami, as he shouted “Baap kaun hai (who’s the father)” at the India paceman.

Shami, who was clearly not please with the mocking, was calmed down by former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who escorted him to the dressing room.

However, not all the fans have been showing hatred towards each other. In a separate incident, a set of Indian and Pakistani fans were seen mingling with each other, as they shouted “Hindistan zindabad (long live India)” and “Pakistan zindabad (long live Pakistan)” in unison.

While there are enough instances of hatred spewing between the two sets of supporters, it is heartening to see fans putting the political differences between their respective countries aside, to spread the message of love, friendship and peace.
