Imad Wasim speaking about Sikandar Raza's travelling saga, during a TV show:

“Money is a good motivator. The fact is that if you are paid well, you will travel anywhere; I have done that myself frequently. You go from one game to another, finish one game, and then move on to play another. There have been times when I've traveled for 24 hours straight and gone directly to the ground to play. Money can make different things possible.”

“But Sikandar Raza is a great player. He has been performing well for the past couple of years across the world. He even led his team to victory in the ILT20 final. He is a great human being and a proper team player because he has played both alongside me and against me. He is a dedicated team player and a skilled cricketer—you can definitely call him a match-winner. His performances over the last two years speak for themselves, and you can't deny that.”

It’s not about coming back to play the final but the fact that he went all the way to England to play one Test which he knew they were gonna lose. That shows his dedication and love for the game as well as his national team.

A lot of players in his position would have opted out of the Test. So it’s not love for money but love for cricket and commitment to your country.

People like Imad Wasim have no idea what dedication to your country means. They only care about money. No wonder he didn’t have the courage to make himself available for Tests at a time when a Test spot was available for him.

His actions last summer explained everything. He made himself available for the T20I World Cup when there was no franchise cricket on offer, played one of the worst innings in history and lost Pakistan the match vs India before retiring again to play franchise cricket.

What are the times he has travelled for 24 hours straight and went to the ground to play? It just screams of a "look at me" attitude

However he is right that money is a good motivator. Putting Sikander and his excellent performance in the final aside I am not a fan of these one off appearances. It presents conflict of interest risk and does a disservice to the players who actually stick around. The ICC should introduce some mandatory cooling off periods between games.

I believe more than money it was the opportunity to play and win a final. That's what motivated Sikander to fly and play within 24 hours. If it was a dead rubber game. He wouldn't have traveled back like this to play one game.

Money is all these guys are playing for... What's so wrong here?

Lol Imad the attention seeker.....

Now he is crying that i also did this.....

Such a jealous and toxic guy he is

And there is a difference. Imad would do anything for money.

Sikander even making, still wants to represent his country in a one off test
That is dedication

Imad is not even worth Sikanders shoe

Pretty unnecessary statement from Imad. Money is a motivator for every player, and yet numerous players chose to skip the PSL altogether after the India-Pakistan tensions. Sikander Raza did something commendable and above all, it actually paid off because he quite literally finished the game off for his team and helped them win the PSL. Imad's remarks come across as sour grapes. 'Why are you talking about him, and not me?'

If money was a factor Sikandar would've retired from test cricket like many Pakistani players and exclusively played franchise.

It was the fact he prioritised country over club that should be lauded.

When was the last time a pak player gave that commitment to their teams? These guys have been running away since ICL times

Sikander prioritised a Test match scheduled to take place after the PSL was originally supposed to finish, and it was a Test match v England in England…not the usual lower tier sides Zimbabwe are generally scheduled against

If this Test was against Ireland, Bangladesh or Afghanistan, even West Indies….Sikander would not have gone to play it.

well obviously this is his profession, this is how he earns a living, so why wouldn't he travel the world for it? unnecessary statement just to stay somewhat relevant.

Its hilarious watching @Rana hate on Sikander.... Pure fanboyismm

He has an issue with Sikander missing a test against Ireand but not against England...

What should we do with this life-changing information?

It’s not hating, you claimed Sikander is morally a better professional than Imad because he skipped PSL to represent his country in Test, but Imad would never do that….

Well that’s not true at all. Sikander has been a mercenary in the past too. No one is morally better in this case!

What’s more hilarious? You completely ignoring the fact that he has skipped national duty in the past to play franchise cricket?

It probably bothers him that he fell out with everyone and has to now play under the captaincy of his junior, Shadab Khan. He never developed any respect that senior cricketers get.

Oh right, that’s why he is getting paid to give his opinion on TV a day after his side is knocked out of the tournament?

How long have RizBar been knocked out for? Who’s paying them to come and talk on cricket? Who’s going to pay idiots who can’t string coherent sentences to voice their opinion in the first place?

So a guy travelled to represent his country and than travelled back to represent his team in a leagues final and he is being hated on.

Meanwhile, a guy who sucked soo bad, that he is sitting in a tv channel giving opinions, and he is being celebrated.....

If only irony could be understood by some.

Your still sore from last year.

Everything you claim or try to claim in order to bring down Imad is immediately refuted and debunked. That’s ok, it will happen. Falsehood will never have any legs to stand on.

Fair comments by Imad. Money is the main reason Raza rushed back to PSL
More unnecessary comments than anything else. This is his profession. If your line of work involves travel to make money, then yes, of course you will travel to make money. Simple. I don't understand why it has to be even commented upon.

It's not like he's bowling no balls to make extra money
