Most entertaining and popular sports

I've recently been watching a lot of basketball. I've decided to follow the Cleveland Cavalliers because of LeBron James, he's simply brilliant!

Which team you do you follow if any?

I follow the Minnesota Timberwolves, particularly love their use of young players such as Karl Anthony Towns, Marcus George Hunt, Andrew Wiggins (the 6th youngest player to 6,000 points, the rest of them are close to or have ATG status) and Tyus Jones (or as LeBron refers to him as, Tyler Jones :)) ), while their more experienced players are just as good.

Also, Jimmy Butler is my favourite player in the league, so him being on this team makes it even better for me. Was really critical of LeBron as he basically took a month off while also having horrendous defensive numbers, only for it to comeback and bite me, when he gets a crucial block and scores the winner against the Wolves.

The Cavs trading about 6-7 players was really interesting, I'm curious about how they're going to be, come the playoffs.

Yes what a winner that was! He missed an earlier chance at the end of normal time but came back with a block and then the basket to give the Cav's a great win.

Can't even be mad at that, however, no idea why we didn't put two guys on him, he was much more of a threat than any half-court heave could've been.

I'm still learning on how tactics work in Basketball but I guess you're right.

An easy game for the Minnesota Timberwolves v Sacramento Kings on Monday.

Yeah at home, and against a poor team in the West, should be a easy win for us. Hopefully Tyus starts over Teague.

Nothing beats nfl aka American football. If you live in a major city that’s crazy about football you will understand what I’m talking about. The final game of Super Bowl was the best game ever.

There is only around 9 mins playing time in over 3 hours of a live game . Boring sport

Feel like most sport is more fun playing than watching. Cricket is probably the exception for me, not that it’s not fun to play, it just takes too much preparation and time and weather conditions to play. And especially if you’re batting, get out for zero and you’ve blown your chance to do something entire game lol.

Tennis was quite fun to watch especially live. But I think since feeder, nadal retired and djokovic on last legs, I think it’s not as exciting anymore. Alcaraz and sinner are very good, but it just doesn’t feel the same for some reason.

Badminton doubles in my opinion is by far the most fun to play. It’s indoors, you can play at all ages and genders. Even you can mix abilities quite well, balancing teams. It requires teamwork with your partner and is social as you get to interact people off court and on court. I haven’t found anything that comes close. Though I’m not sure how fun it is to watch, I don’t mind it, but I do hardly watch it. People watch badminton singles more, but I don’t think it is anywhere near as fun to play as doubles. I wish I found something as good it especially socially as badminton doubles.

I think a lot of the reasons why I watch cricket is it does feel a bit like connecting with my culture. I was born and live in uk. So pak cricket is the small thing I do which feels related to my roots. I’m not sure I would follow cricket if I wasn’t ethnically Pakistani.

For me, football/soccer is #1. Nothing comes close.

Cricket is #2.

Tennis is #3.

Rugby is #4.

Field hockey is #5.

Oh nice, I wouldn’t have guessed cuz I don’t see you posting on football/soccer threads. Do you support any clubs?

I mostly watch World Cup, Euro, and COPA. I may occasionally watch friendlies.

I don't watch club football regularly but I keep in touch.

My favorite international teams --> Argentina, Italy, Morocco, Canada, Bangladesh
My favorite club teams --> Liverpool, Barcelona

My top sports viewing experiences (stadium and TV) for other sports not including cricket and soccer.

Field Hockey: I was at Lahore’s hockey stadium in 2004. The match was between Pak and Ind and ended 4-4. Absolutely thrilling experience.

F1: The 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Intense finale that ended Hamilton’s chance to be the undisputed goat. Exhilarating. Verstappen won in the most dramatic and controversial fashion.

Baseball: Game 3 World Series 2025. It went on for 18 innings (games end in 9 innings). The game kept being tied innings after innings, it was like a spiralling loop that sucked you in.

I had physical education class in grade 10.

I used to play American football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and soccer. We used to be graded on our performances in those sports.

I did poorly in basketball. Scored 3 out of 20. ROFL. Did much better in soccer.

It was a fun class. Didn't feel like a class at all. I enjoyed playing baseball and soccer.

Nope. I don't think Toronto will get any major game. Probably minnows will play here. No point in getting those tickets. :inti
Pretty expensive too, I wouldn’t waste money either. Some folks I know got tickets (or right to buy tickets — some new science) but they are more likely to resell than keep.

Yeah. I think watching it in the stadium is overrated.

I would rather watch it from the comfort of my home.
