i went a couple of years ago - and loads of people gave me dvd lists - i had 200-300 dvds in the suitcase!!! - was only the discs though - left the cases in pakistan though - have to think of the weight u know - lol

i had a bit of hassle at islamabad airport - gave one of the guys 500 rupees to get him off my back

you dnt pay customs for dvds, they are banned to take them out of pak, you just have to throw the covers away and wrap the cds in your salwar kameez and put them in the suitcase.

people were saying to me chuck the covers away, put the discs in wallets and take em back, but i couldnt be bothered, i just took em and at no point was i sweating over it

I had about 50 ps2 games, 50 pieces of pc software plus 30 odd dvds spread over 3 suitcases. The only advantage I had when entering Islamabad airport was that I was dresses as a shiekh with a chola and the thing they wear on their heads. I was waved through every checking point and beat the check in line. Pakistani customs were stopping nearly every person that walked through but just waved me through. When arriving at heathrow there wasn't a single person at customs standing there. So all in all my disguse payed off well. I also got special treatment on the plane as all of these stewerdesses like to please the Sheikhs.

Mr Bean - or Rowan Atkinson to give his proper name - came out in written support for PM Boris Johnson's referral to women wearing the burka as looking like letterboxes on the basis that the joke was funny. I wonder why it's seen as insensitive to make jokes about Jews or Irishmen then?
