What's new

Muhammed Zaid Alam - Pakistan U19 batsman

Hearing it was not a full strength Australia side but still a great effort. Hopefully can put in some more consistent performances

Looks like a great prospect.Watched all his innings and he seems to be a very confident guy.Takes on fast bowlers.Isn't afraid to play his shots and scores very quickly.I won't be surprised if he or Taha turn out to be Pakistan's leading scorer in WC

Even winning against a second string Aussi side at theri den is a big achievement...

I am pretty sure all our seniors that toured in 2010 and 2017 would agree :)

Not a talent which would make one jump of his seat.

Not someone about whom one would say that He has a lot of time while playing.

A lot of hit through the line stuff + genuine slogging aswell.

He has not got more potential/skill/talent than Saif Badar who is failing in Domestic Cricket for last 2 years.

This was 2nd string Aus Und 19 side.

I am more interested in seeing Amad Alam. (Haven’t seen him bat yet)

I don’t know what was basit thinking by not selecting Mohammad Arif ? ? mak36

^^^Bit hard on an 18 year old who is playing his shots on pitches he has probably never seen the likes of in his life!

I think he is a pretty decent prospect (for short format at least) as long as he continues to play most his shots in the V and on the Off side; no ugly Afrid-esque slots/swipes please. Pakistan can use a guy who seems to have the range to hit sixes at will!

His open stance shows he is always ready to hit and slog the ball.

He has to work on his defence.

43* off 19 against Ireland U19 in the World Cup.

Pretty much every young player I've seen enjoys playing square of the wicket. This is a good sign for Pakistan. We are finally moving on from Misbah clones.

An aggressive opener is exactly what Pakistan needs. Hopefully with the right work and grooming he can be a good or solid pakistan opener one day.

Took 5/36 for Lahore Whites against Islamabad. Looks like a handy bowler.

I was impressed a lot with his batting on the U19 AUS tour. I reckon he is a very good talent. He scored a very fine knock there against AUS U19 If he keeps on working hard, I can see him going through the ranks and representing Pak at internationals one day
