Multan Sultans (196/2) win a last-ball thriller against Karachi Kings (193/5) by 3 runs

I love those tears, someone said Sarfraz is a better cricketer than Rizwan in white ball cricket

This PSL is very difficult for them. Few minutes ago they were all over the thread. Now they are nowhere.

How many times can Rizwan bat at 170 strike rate rate let’s see there’s 5-6 more matches to go for him in the PSL if he keeps doing it he’s become better if not it’s a one off.

Great acceleration by Rizwan at the end, showing some intent once he got to his 50.

The weak bowling at the end helped but still a good innings need more to be convinced Rizwan is a power hitter let’s see if he can play quickly in the future.

No point being Power hitters if you only contributing 20s and 30s,a top batsman should be scoring 50s as a minimum regularly like Rizwan at a good strike rate.

Name All Pakistani openers with 25+ avg and 135+ strike rate. Forget 170.

For KK to win this Wade needs to see this from the beginning to the right till end.

I’d say in t20s it’s better to have hitters who can score a quick 30 at 200sr so that others with limited abilities can have that breathing space to construct a longer inning.

Overall strike rates at the PSL:

Rizwan : 125

Babar : 121

Is it an anamoly or will we see more of this from Rizwan time will tell.
If you consistenly scoring then you are contributing favourably to the teams cause. Yes strike rate should be better but his runs more often then not help his team.

What is exciting about Rizwan is that he's one of the few players in Pakistan who hasn't been found out on the international stage. He came with a bang in 2020 in that 3rd T20 in NZ and ever since he has just racked up mountain of runs. His leg side play keeps coming up in conversation but does it really matter if he's scoring like this? Even international teams haven't been able to stifle his leg side play. He's like Arjen Robben. Everybody knew he was going to cut in to the left and shoot but nobody was able to stop it.

Rizwan's consistency is evidence of his hard work to continually improve himself. If you are going to judge him in comparison to the likes of Buttler, Kohli, Rohit then obviously he isn't going to come up favorably in that comparison. Pakistani fans should temper their expectation and judge Rizwan based on the talent available in the country. On that basis, Rizwan is eons ahead of anyone else.

Yes Rizwan is that guy who builds the inning, and power hitting is not his role. Too many hitters could end up losing the match due to their high risk play. There is a role of anchor type batsmen with ability to accelerate later like Rohit Sharma, as demonstrated by Guptil the other day whwn he scored his century. Only issue Pakistan is they need to seperate Rizwan and Babar as both start off in a similar fashion.

Commie saying 2nd best bowling attack, MS, only behind LQ, thought it looked mediocre. Didn't realise they were that good.

To be fair Rizwan has never done this in a tournament or series decider weak bowling flat wicket he did that against South Africa once too.

Probably gone to see a sports psychologist as he said when Rizwan started performing back in 2021, he was considering it. :))

This is the problem. People want batsmen who score at 3 points more SR but average 30 runs less lol. It's too big a drop. If Rizwan and Babar were keeping out guys who strike at 160 with 20+ averages we could discuss. But this just isn't the case.

There are three players with proven ability to strike fast. Asif Ali who averages 15 at SR 134. Fakhar who averages 22 at SR 129 (his stats were similar opening too, where he has been given 50 games). And Sharjeel who averages 22.5 at SR 133 with the baggage that he has fixed, poor in field and can't even maintain his form in the team. The rest are youngsters who have hardly played much even in domestic. As long as these are the players to compare with Rizwan and Babar's style of batting, it's not even worth debating. No point bringing in foreign batsmen to compare when they don't even exist in Pakistan.

Fair play to Rizwan, but it is a mickey mouse league, its expected of him to tear it up here.

LOL, Brathwaite here for a jolly and free money.

Bring in your best bowlers Rizwan. Get these 2 out and the game is won

He has been one of the top ranked international T20 player, what else you want.

What’s his average and strike rate in the Asia Cup and World T20 this is PSL in the Asia cup final and other important matches there weren’t the pies bowled today by medium pacers in the PSL.

I would wait a while some weak bowling on a flat wicket helped.

When Shan bats easily you know it’s a Flat pitch.

:kakmal

No matter what the end result t20 hundred is always special. KK got weak bowling but tall claims

Vince and Wade need to keep it on the throat, no let up.

Roussou played slow and could be the difference here tonite. 29 in 21 batting in slog overs is very slow on this pitch.

When you got these scoop shots and whatnot, can add a ton of runs to the total.

Naseem, Shaheen and Ishanullah as the front three for the WC. Haris is rubbish

Ishanullah is ideal for middle overs in the ODIs

Jee Rizwan fans

This is how you bat when you take the powerplay

Massive SIX

Sultan apart from Usama Mir and Ishanullah, they have a rubbish bowling line up

No Bro, its more important to protect your average and ensure you're the highest run scorer in the tournament.

Since sharjeel has been dropped KK have bossed the powerplays.shows what a dreadful player he was.

I dont give a flying F(16) how old Ihsanullah is or how long he lasts due to his age or sorts. He bowls, I take that. What really concerns me is that there seems to me a slight straightening of arm in his bowling. Doesnt look oh-so-clean. Can be flick of the wrist or idk (I am not a bowling coach). Dont spear me naked on this ******* but just my observation. To my eyes, imho, there seems to be a jerk of sorts

What a powerplay

What a powerplay

These are the kind of openers that KK wanted and got rid of Rizwan

Agar woh hamari team main nahi aata tou nahi aata!!!

They are saying today's game is sold out but according to the PCB Book me site, there are 6,400 unsold tickets for todays game. Which one is more accurate?

Are these updated stats? Maybe there was last minute sales.

Apart from Ihsan this bowling attack is nothing but a bunch of trundlers. Naturally any English or Aussie batsman will murder such attack. Deserves to be treated this way. So after a long time Rizwan finally plays proper white ball knock & still is in danger of losing!!
