IU will be in trouble if this game gets washout or if they lose. Their batting is the most consistent in the league.Bowling is a big let down.

can they drop Faheem for either Musa or Ahmed Safi Abdullah?

Faheem has been major disappointment in this season...

Faheem has lost us so many matches. Why give him overs that too in the power play.

highly doubt its bcz of contacts or corruption to this point... dont think Faheem has tht much money or parchi as such...

its the ego of our selectors that i think mostly gets them to do these stupid things... bcz faheem has been part of ISLU and bcz he made friendsips with other team mates , stuff like tht... i think tht wat hinders them from being dropped.....

dont know if it actually is, but might be this...

Its not raining in pindi, it rained over night and there was no sun.

right now the weather is ok, the sun was partially out if not fully.

DOnt think there will be any match, the sun isnt that bright. Maybe maybe maybe, if that match starts at 4 o clock and we get a 6 over match

The groundstaff is amazing despite constraints but PCB should invest some money in drainage of the ground after the PSL. It hasn't rained since 12:00pm

I was watching a video about the cost of subsurface aeration system in India(2017 video), it cost around 4.25 crores INR rupees. We should have this in Pindi and Lahore because a lot rain in this region

no need.

it only rains in Pindi this time around. During these days you get fulll days of rain and this weather last for about 2 weeks.

Rest of the year in Pindi, if it dose rain, its oonly for half of the day, later the sun is always out. Doesnt rain that much here

no news as of yet, but i think the outfeidl is ok because IU was doing training on the outfield

The rain effected the test match as well last year . At least we won't have delays due to wet outfield as we can't control rain. Its a better investment than wasting money on opening cermoney of PSl

no point of making such investment for only 1 or 2 matches.

Would make sense if this investment was being done in a field that has more than 5-10 matches getting affected.

PCB only needs to do better scheduling thats all.

yup.

Next inspection is at 3.30 but outfield is extremely wet. No match likely.

ISLU should have won the last match.

In a tricky spot now if this gets washed out.

This is so frustrating - weekend games interrupted by rain. MS won’t mind though - another washout and they are almost one step into super four.

I think, Pindi stadium needs to fix its slope first. For any stadium where it rains lot, first thing that needs for a proper drainage is natural slope - either from one end to other, or from middle to every direction. The north-west side of the playing surface is 2.5 metres (8‘+) higher than the south-east side at Lord’s!!!! While the Dhaka stadium at Mirpur, the wicket block (a central block of roughly 35X23 metres) is almost 1.2 metres higher than the edge of the boundary with gradual decline. Ideally, a game should start within 60 minutes of stopping, and here CI says, the sun is also shining.

1. it has been raining form yesterday none stop. Yesday the outfield was abit damp yeht htey oplayed.

2. there has been no bright sunshine, yes the sun was out but its not like as if its shining directly. Even currently its abit dark when i look out of hte window.

Dhaka and Lords gets alot of rain, Pindi doesnt get that much rain, its just these 2 weeks when we get rain.

Next inspection to take place at 3:30 pm (PST)

Maybe we don’t have the money to have expensive system but we do need some cheap options to improve the drainage system. You can give leeway to PCB right now but should do something after this PSL.

Next inspection at 3 30 means, match will start at 4:00. This means 6 vs 6

there has been no cricket in Pak for over a decade.. its just starting to come back...

hold ur horses on shouting at PCB.. they had other expenses to bear...

now these things like drainnage and better seatings will come ... given cricket has come home

Peshwar Stadium is under renovation and others will follow

this is the problem we pakistanies have... we sleep for decades when things are going bad... and then suddenly wakeup and want to have everything perfect

and if i was PCB, i would spend most money on pindi and multan stadiums...

the 2 cities have just crashed other venues of cricket in terms of pitch and crowd out-turn...

being a lahorite , its saddening but then pindi boys and multani crowd has just been amazing ... spend more on these grounds ... and ofcourse on khi and lahore too.. they are well khi and lahore... lol

the boys are training, that means there will be a match as its safe to train in the outfield

You can't seem to read properly.

I only talked about room for improvement in the future, after PSL.

The toss will be at 3.50 p.m.

The match will start at 4.15 p.m.

9-over match with 3-over powerplays.

dont try to be over clever.... i can read .. eng is just a language .. doesnt make u superman lol

wasnt talking abt u .. just general mindset

Kudos to the ground staff once again. Don’t remember such a performance from ground staff of a single venue in many tournaments.

Multan won the toss and fielding first

Flood lights are there. Why can't they have full 20 over match instead of 9 overs?. Is it a rule that you have to finish the match at the specific time.

Asif Ali keep getting selected without any performance. This guy cannot even score run a ball of 20-30.

Yes that is why we see shortened matches everywhere including ICC tournaments.

Creating natural slope is the cheapest solution. 90% of the water clears out by the natural flow. And to make the slope you don’t need to shake the earth either - for 2/3 years, groundsmen need to put extra soil with a plan before the cricket season starts (for South Asia around July-September) and do proper rolling.

Crickets’ next technological advancement will be indoor/covered stadium with transparent optic fibre retractable roof, so that even when it’s raining, you can play with natural light added to artificial light.

IU probably has got their XI better adjusted - Gohar would have been risky here. Andy has gone with 3.5 spinners (JK is the 0.5 spinner these days)!!! Not sure how many more minutes it could have cost here - if they can play 9 overs each, then may be 10 each would have been better.

Not sure how that could be given out.
Soft signal was not out and camera shots were inconclusive....

Junaid’s bowling action looks a bit dodgy too.

Shadab will lose us this match.

He's not a proper hitter and can't go at it from ball one.

Asif Ali should have been sent in.

On-field call was not out - was that so conclusive?

Yes, pathetic umpiring. They don't know what conclusive evidence is.

And not calling Junaid either for chucking.

I guess our in house experts should realize that Junaid Khan has played more than 100 internationals and never been once called for chucking by ICC elite umpires. :smith

I guess you people are seeing his initial bent elbow when his no ball was being checked.
