Only pride to play for and to give the people of Karachi something to cheer about!

Thats what this game will be about and what the people of Pakistan expect from both sides.

Not expecting a full house this time. This match was also shifted from Lahore, and it's during the day on a Monday.

If Multan wins, Lahore will be the first T20 team in the world to recieve the wooden spoon 4 consecutive times.
Quite an achievement to strive for I must say.

Currently at the stadium. Gates opened 15 mins ago.

Stands are filling up but i don't think it will be a full house.

That's the reason I am supporting Multan as a Karachite I would like Lahore to be last again :runaway:

Multan Sultans have won the toss and have elected to bowl first.

Absolutely terrible decision by Shoaib to bat 2nd in this match after winning toss. I would say bordering criminal....

It's not only about Monday or the time alone. In IPL, a particular venue plays only to 7 group games over 2 months, therefore all games are fully packed.

Here, Karachi is the only venue where 8 matches are literally played back to back in about a week. People won't spend money on all of those matches.

If PSL is shifted entirely next season, PCB needs to have home and away system so that one venue only plays 5 group games over a period of a month. This will ensure capacity crowds irrespective of time and what day of the week it is.

Haris is awful in T20s. His ball striking is worse than Babar’s.

My God, Fakhar never looks set. Such a HACK. Tbh even with his hack conditions he's still not performing

True. However, venues like Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan etc. are still a few years away from hosting matches. If the PSL returns next year, all the matches will be held in Karachi and Lahore, and we can expect a drop in attendance.

In the long-term future, the home and away concept should be implemented. Peshawar and Quetta will not host any matches, so they can play their home games in either Lahore or Karachi.

Make them want their matches instead of it giving it to them. I'm sure if pak and ind had played twice in a year it would not be as thrilling as it is when they're playing after 2-3 years

Total fluke player. He needs multiple chances and a lot of luck to score runs.

With the amount of security that has been deployed, I don't think Pindi and Multan would be difficult places to host games. Quetta and Peshawar are out of the question for sure.

By the way in terms of stadium, I was wondering why Pakistan does not have even 1 double tier stadium. These single tier stadiums look so 1980s. I see the Mumbai stadium and it looks magnificent with multiple tiers and designed to give a cauldron like feeling. Our crowds are so far removed from the boundaries that watching the balls land amongst 20 security officials and cameramen is cringey. Also by having home crowds literally on top of the boundary fielders create panic and mistakes amongst those outfield players.
We really need to upgrade our stadiums.

True. We need a couple of modern, flagship stadiums. Unfortunately we don’t have the funds and it will be difficult to get a sponsor/investor when there is no international cricket in Pakistan.

Completed Roof of NSK

Looks decent enough.....

View attachment 89323

The way they have laid down the roof is pathetic.

Why?

Because for people inside the roof, there's absolutely no view of the sky. Those who are either at the middle or the back rows.

Too low height.

If ball goes in the air, you can't see what's happening to it, where it's going.

Batting os Asela in his first match here shows how far behind we are in batting department.

What has happened to the pitch?

Ball doesn't seem to be coming on to the bat nicely anymore. Seems to be getting stuck after pitching.

Not fun anymore.

I don’t understand why are we complaining that we dont have batting talent right now ahead of the WC.

Ahmed Shahzad looking promising.
Umar Akmal looks in fine form
Umer Amin looks in good touch
Asif Ali looks good find for no.6 spots clean hitter.

Its not like we dont have choice.

Coming back to the Game. LQ has been v poor due to their selection of home players. LQ need to find a good combination and stick to it.

Can they please remove the those Green barriers at the boundaries. They blocks fans view to watch the game.

Different pitches used for all 3 games so far.

The first match (IU LQ) was on the pitch on the right. The second match (QG KK) was on the pitch on the left. Today's game is on the pitch in the middle where you see the stumps now.

Idiotic planning from LQ. Why are they bowling on the legs of Siddiq?

What exactly do LQ's analysts/bowling coach e.t.c. do??

all of the above are bakwaas otehr than ahmad who i feel has real talent and should be doing way better. that bouncer on his head a few years ago and his attitude really messed things up. But he looks thin and fit and determined. i would like him to score more runs and just force his way into the side..Akmal is useless..his shot last night was further evidence he hasnt learnt anything..

Nice crowd building general are almost full. It will be another full house come the match 2 of the evening. And all 3 play offs and final will be a full house but we have to distribute matches to atleast 4 venues.

And regarding full house in ipl I agree they have limited number of games on one venue and they also have double headers only on saturday and sunday. And even then some times stadium is not full Pcb should look into it as well

LQ sloppy as hell in the field.

Sums up their PSL campaign.

No margin for error for the bowlers with these short boundaries.

Wooden spoon awaits Lahore again.

Look how solid Shan masood looks and compare that to fakhar and people still want fakhar in the team

Obviously a guy avgs 50 and ranked 9 in ODI rankings deserves to be dropped.

Has scored 3 50s in last 8 ODIs but obviously with others in the team scoring centuries he needs to make way.

If Aqib is still retained as head coach than there is nothing that can dethrone him

I am sorry but I genuinely don't get the hype around Haris Rauf, I understand that this may sound as if I am hating on the lad but given whatever I've seen off him I'd say we're making another Wahab Riaz/Sami.

Haris Sohail used to play in domestic T20s decently, has really struggled in PSL

His economy has generally been pretty decent throughout and has shown some basic intelligence as well. Definitely needs to improve his accuracy. Was one of the top 5 wicket takers till yesterday.

Its T20 so almost every international bowler has gone for runs as well.

just read what you've written. 3 50s in 8 odis. And we all know how those 3 50s were scored.
Imam is scoring centuries and he needs a partner that can do the same and support him unlike fakhar that plays 2 overs and gets out.
