Multan Sultans defeat Peshawar Zalmi by 3 runs in the 27th match of PSL 5

Imam is taking the game away from MS...he is too good...need his wicket.
 
Imam is a top player but the problem is in T20s you can only have one or two main anchors and for Pak that is Pak's best batsman Babar Azam and few supporters in the middle like Shoaib Malik and keepers like Sarfaraz and Rizwan.

Pak is lacking firepower and that is why players like Haris Sohail, Imam, Umer Amin dont match Pak T20 lineup's requirement.
 
Haider was the main reason I wanted to watch this match. Really disappointed Peshawar pushed him so low for no reason. I want PZ to lose here.

i will challange you to find him playing 3-5 consec matches after 2012....

he was never ever given proper chances... always floating him around to counter for the useless akmal brothers and malik and haffez

i had some respect for misbah , thinking he was forced to play these garbage players but since he has taken over as selector+coach+everything, he has brought the same garbage back... so he is , in my books part of tht garbage..

Umar Amin deserves to be in the XI

Pakistan need specialist batsmen who can play at 125+

Apart from Babar, Amin is the only guy who can do that. Haris can play well occasionally.
 
The more the Haider plays, the more the chances of a senior getting chopped; considering we have fair selection policies which we do not

Forget international.This is PSL 5 and he never makes it into any X1 consistantly, This is his 3rd PSL team.Reason? misbah?
 
Some poor captaincy decisions there. Tahir should have bowled earlier. Needed pacers in the last 6 overs considering Malik was going to go bezerk.

Impossible now for Multan.

Zalmi 2nd team to qualify.
 
Now this joker is going to be picked ahead of Sharjeel Khan and Sohail Akhtar at the T20 wc

I like Amin and I think he was wrongfully dropped from T20s after series win in NZ but we have Malik at the moment in the middle who can consolidate and hit as well when required.

Sarfaraz or Rizwan cant hit big as well so we are lacking some dynamic players to reach totals of 170-180

Babar and Malik are enough to anchor in T20s till WT20 in my opinion. Yes if Malik is dropped or something like that then Amin can be looked at for No 4.

Just my opinion.

Shouldnt happen at all. I rate Imam but his style of play isnt required for Pak T20 team at the moment. Management should be looking at the kind of style of players they need rather than just runs.

Same mistake was done against Eng in one T20 and then against Srl and Aus. You cant have Haris, Imam and keepers in the form of Rizwan and Sarfaraz in one T20 squad. Pak improved on it against BD and shouldnt repeat the mistakes.

Wahab Riaz strutting in at 3 and Haider Ali at 6!

This has to be one of the most disappointing things in the PSL so far. Captaincy and temperament. Haider Ali has been your prime batsman through this tournament. This was an opportunity for him to cement his spot as a premier batsman in the country.

why would you change his batting order when chasing a mediocre target?
You're signaling that you don't trust him by changing his batting order - its a major confidence killer. Not taking any blame away from the shot he played but they shouldn't have been in this position.

what is also disappointing is that he got out playing a shot on the leg side.
 
Peshawar are bottling it in some style here.

They deserve it for pushing Haider down the order.
 
Hammad in one over and 4 balls has performed way better than Faheem in 2 years

He has scores of 68, 54, 62 in his last 4-5 innings in PSL and that being said I am not his fan at all. Just not sure if Amin is gonna do better than him is Pak T20 team at no 4 at the moment but still if Malik doesnt score Amin can be tried.

They are not competing. Pak only have 3 batsmen in Babar and Malik and Iftikhar in the top 6.
 
Azam has power but when ball isnt in his zone his execution is really poor
 
To be honest Pak is better off with out Hafeez and Malik, but we know the eveil of experience will prevail

One place is probably be taken by a wicket keeper who can hit in the form of Rizwan or Sarfaraz unless we are looking towards Kamran or even Zeeshan. Then the other two remain batsmen are supposed to be decent hitters atleast as otherwise other than Iftikhar or maybe Malik (If he stays at the end) there would be none in top 6 to up the ante.

This is just my concern as it would be difficult for Pak to target 170-180 on most occasions.

I can understand if a bowler is bowling perfect yorkers but Shafiq wasnt even bowling those.

Pakistan have no hitters just hacks. We saw what Ahsan Ali did. Technically correct batsmen are a better idea.

I could have digested this move, if such a move was done by Multan as they have already qualified.

What strategy was that??
 
First I thought he has come in as a pinch hitter, but I was stunned seeing him try to play proper strokes :-D
