Maybe he shouldn’t have said this publicly. This will offend a lot of people.

Maybe he has told people personally as well and this is to let everyone know that he doesn't have different standards for different people.

So let me tell you a little story from my time in PSL 2018

One gentleman of an official nature publicly approached someone in PCB for '30 tickets' for the game in Sharjah...

All this VIP Stuff happens and will happen - that is our culture!

It’s clear he’s making fun of those people. If this happens in India the silly politicians and bureaucrats here will boycott the match saying he insulted them :))

Meanwhile, his ‘top dog’ remark has offended some people on Twitter. They think it’s some kinda abuse :))). I know why they think so but it’s making me laugh.

A bit like Tharoor's "cattle class" remark.

What about PCB hangers on and freeloaders who claim to be working for PCB but do nothing apart from eat free food. I guess they will still get their free passes.

Najam Sethi on PSL tickets for Karachi:-

"When the ticket sales began online, TCS claimed that more than 1,000,000 people tried to immediately access the tickets. I was myself very astonished to hear that more than a million people have lined up to get tickets."

"They said that our servers had crashed because no one had expectations like this. We thought that since there were 10 days left, people would buy them over the days slowly. "

"We had an idea about the demand for tickets in Karachi but we can't do anything as we don't have that much capacity in the stadium. If we had a capacity for 100,000 people then it wouldn't have been an issue but we can only house 30,000 people in the stadium. On top of that, there are some stands that have been ruled out because they are declared unsafe. "

"Most of the tickets that have been sold have been sold online. Cheaper tickets such as the 1000 rupees have already been sold out because of the high demand. The VIPs have bought tickets for 12,000 rupees and some are still available"

"No one was given free tickets. The CM has bought 500 VIP tickets, each worth 12,000 rupees. Only the CM and his wife were invited to the chairman's box and be our guests. The Sindh government has cooperated a lot which is really incredible. They have already spent several crore rupees on the renovation of the stadium and making roads."

Pretty smart tweet by Najam Sethi.

Best way to convey such messages is by making a general announcement to all.

Could have dealt with it behind closed doors, more of a smart publicity stunt than anything, fair play to Sethi, can't say his message is wrong

Desis in general are the cheapest people I've known. Compare them to ***** and you'll notice how much more those guys actually spend on sports per year. This is also the reason why Cricket has had a hard time making money in Pakistan despite being the most popular sport. Until unless Pakistani people start spending more money on tv coverage, merchandise, going to games etc......Pakistan cricket will not make enough $$$.

Personally I had a very poor experience with buying the tickets.I booked them online, and I'd logged in to the booking website at 11:45 even though the tickets were to be released at 12 AM.The website crashed repeatedly and I was only able to book my tickets at 5AM,and I wasn't even able to get the stand I wanted the seats in.The tickets could also be physically bought at 9AM but they went out of stock at 12 pm.

I worked in a premium retail store; no worse customers then the Indians. Indians would actually try to get a discount on fixed prices and then would console themselves by saying that the stock is fake lol. Chinese can also be quite stingy. Pakistanis in the UK like their brands so splashed. Although; there were some stingy Pakistanis too.

Sadly its a problem with almost all online ticket sellers. Try buying a boxing ticket in the UK pff
